Essay on Football – 10 Lines, Short and Long Essay For Children

Shraddha Mishra

Key Points To Remember When Writing An Essay On Football For Lower Primary Classes

10 lines on football for kids, a paragraph about football for children, short essay on my ‘favourite game: football’ for kids, long essay on football for children, what will your child learn from an essay on football.

Today’s increasing pressure on the children in school is several folds higher than a few years ago. An essay on football for classes 1, 2 and 3 kids captures kids’ interest and helps them gain some writing skills. However, this change has helped get Indian children up to a good ranking globally, and there is a visible improvement in students’ vocabulary and language skills. These essays are mainly targeted toward common interests like an essay about football in English or other interesting topics and famous personalities like Sachin Tendulkar and Chandrashekhar Azad. Here is how you can develop a good write-up on football.

Essay writing plays a major role in this pursuit of better language skills, and children are made to write articles, paragraphs, and essays starting from a young age, class 1 in most cases. Here is a list of points to understand how to write an essay on football.

  • Always start your essay with a short introduction.
  • Be clear with your facts. Since it is a popular sport, do not add things you are unsure about.
  • In the case of short articles for lower classes, it should be fine to stick to general statements.
  • Maintain a good continuity between your paragraphs.

When writing a few lines on football for your children, keep a good balance between personalised content and general facts. Here is how you can write a short essay for classes 1 and 2.

  • Everyone in my class has their favourite hobbies, and so do I.
  • My favourite hobby is playing football after school.
  • I play regularly on the ground next to my home with my friends.
  • I also enjoy watching football matches at home with my parents.
  • My favourite player is Lionel Andres Messi, and he is my role model.
  • My favourite part about playing football is when I score goals for our team.
  • We play very friendly and keep a healthy competition between us.
  • I have taken part in many league matches in our school and hometown.
  • I also have a few medals and certificates for my wins.
  • I wish to grow better and improve my football skills with practice.

Since the popularity of football is sure to be maintained through many years to come, it is a very common topic to be asked for an essay or composition. You can write about the game as a small paragraph.

Football is one of the most popular games all over the globe. It is played in many forms in different countries, like soccer, rugby, American football and more. As a thumb rule, a team comprises of 11 players, where one is a goalkeeper. The players run around during the whole game, scoring goals by kicking the ball through the post. It is a fun game that many school-going children enjoy across many countries, including India. The game is also known as soccer in South Africa, Australia, and North America. There are many famous tournaments which are played as well. The most widely known one is the FIFA world cup, which takes place every four years. I enjoy watching football and playing it with my friends every day!

When you write a short essay on football for relatively higher classes, it would be more appropriate to include more facts like the rules and regulations of the game or so. Here is how you can write up a good paragraph.

My favourite game is football. I have been a big fan of Manchester City’s team ever since I started watching football on TV with my father. I watch all their matches without missing even one. Especially the FIFA world cup is something that keeps me excited for many days before it starts. I also play football in school with my friends every day, and I am the goalkeeper of my team. We have participated in a few league matches and tournaments with other schools. I want to improve my skills like my favourite players in the future. The game of football is so much more than just a simple sport. It is a complex exercise for physical and mental health as it involves a lot of concentration and focus. It also helps to build good team spirit while playing in teams. That’s why, it is my favourite sport.

As we progress to higher classes, the write-ups require longer paragraphs with additional subheadings. When such a situation arises, another factor of paragraph continuity should be kept in mind. Here is an example essay for class 3 on the topic of football.

Football is a game which requires combined mastery and skills in different aspects like strength, fitness, cleverness, and teamwork. It is a game played by 11 players in most cases and for 90 minutes. This game is a fun and entertaining one, where you get to witness the players pass around the ball with swift techniques and score goals left and right.

History And Origin Of Football

Folk football has always been part of medieval times. In ancient days, the ball the players used were made with a wide range of materials, many of which were quite weird. Some even used balls made out of the pig’s bladder, obtained after blowing up the animal. Records say Tsu’ Chu, a game played in the Han Dynasty, was closer to football as it involved a ball that players used to push through a 30-40 cm opening.

Benefits Of Playing Football

There are many benefits of playing football every day, and a few of the noteworthy ones include the following.

  • Improved aerobic capacity because of intense activity for 90 minutes.
  • Better cardiovascular health while maintaining good health and burning calories.
  • Lowers body fat
  • Improves muscle tone and strength
  • Promotes teamwork
  • Good exercise for coordination
  • Better self-esteem
  • How Is Football Played?

Being a short game of just 90 minutes, the game’s entirety is filled with excitement. Every time a player tries to take the ball towards the goal post, it is similar to watching a movie. There are many associated factors like what the opponents do to defend and how much effort they put into scoring the goal. It is always interesting to watch pro players like Ronaldo and Messi show off their skills on the field.

The football teams consist of 11 players and are played in several tournaments both nationally and internationally. The game is literally what is stated in its name, where players kick the ball with their feet towards the goalposts on either side to score points for their team. The different techniques and skills used by professional teams from diverse backgrounds are more interesting. These players tend to show variations with every game, and many fans find it very interesting to keep track of such information and details.

By writing essays about how football is an interesting and exciting sport, your child will be motivated to get into good physical activity as a regular hobby. As we discussed before, having a hobby like a football is good in multiple aspects. Your child also learns about the game’s details while framing the composition on football.

Every child must know how to write a proper essay to improve their writing skills. Hence it is essential to start teaching them such skills from a young age.

A hobby is an enjoyable activity that people engage in during their free time. Hobbies can vary widely, from playing the guitar and watching movies to reading books or simply sleeping. For me, my personal hobby is playing football .

Football, the most popular sport worldwide, is played in many countries. Despite initial safety concerns, my father’s worries did not prevent me from starting to play at ten years old. In the beginning, he would scold and even physically discipline me for participating in the sport. However, my love for football never wavered.

Throughout my academic journey, I devoted two hours every day to playing this cherished game. Unfortunately, during a match against another team, I suffered a severe leg injury when they accidentally struck me while trying to clear the ball from the goal. The seriousness of the injury necessitated immediate hospitalization.

After a three-month confinement at home due to a leg injury, I have finally regained my mobility and returned to playing football. Football is not just something I am passionate about, but it also plays a crucial role in improving my overall well-being. Engaging in this sport allows me to enhance muscle and bone strength while reducing body fat through activities like walking, running , and sprinting. Furthermore, football helps develop leg strength and improves concentration. Therefore, playing football effectively promotes fitness and establishes positive fitness habits. Participating in team sports such as football offers various benefits.

Playing football boosts my self-assurance and lessens stress. It imparts lessons on teamwork , sharing, and coordination, fostering numerous friendships. Furthermore, football imparts valuable life skills that will prove beneficial as I mature. It equips me to handle future setbacks by teaching acceptance of both triumphs and defeats. Football holds a significant place in my life as the supreme sport globally. Hence, engaging in football is strongly advised as it is a choice one won’t rue.

Introduction.

The only thing that our children do without any compulsion is to play their favourite game in their free time. Immediately after they return home from school, without even changing their uniforms, they will run off to play cricket or football with their friends. In this essay on my favourite game football, we will see how children can write an essay on the topic.

If you have two children in your house, it is most likely that one likes cricket and the other is a fan of football. Some love to watch football on television, while others jump at any situation where they get to play and kick a goal. We can understand the rules of the game through this essay on my favourite game football.

Essay on My Favourite Game Football

My Favourite Game – Football

I was only 6 years old when I saw some people playing football on a nearby field. I eagerly looked at the way the players passed the ball with their feet. I was too immersed in the game that I unknowingly let out a huge shout of joy when one of them struck a goal. This excitement was in me even when I reached home, and I knew that learning to play football was my goal.

Due to my persistence, my father bought me a football, and we began playing with it in the evenings. Although I was not an expert in the beginning, I slowly mastered the game through my dedication and hard work . Since I began playing well, I joined the school football team. This further helped me refine my playing tactics as I learnt how to navigate the ball in a team of 11 players and kick the ball into the goal post. Moreover, football improved my stamina and leadership skills. Hence, I can confidently say that football is my preferred game, and this short essay on my favourite game football will validate it.

Rules of Football

In this part of the essay on my favourite game football, we will learn how football is played and what are the rules to follow. In a football game, there will be two teams of 11 players each. The most important thing to remember while playing football is that the ball should be passed from one player to another only by foot. And in case the player touches the ball with his hand, the other team will get a free kick.

The three types of players are also discussed in this short essay on my favourite game football. They are the forward players who put the ball in the goal post, midfielders who pass the ball to the forward player, and defenders who prevent the players from the other team from scoring a goal. There is also a goalkeeper who defends the goal post of the team. Since football is a rough and tough game, injuries may happen, and the referee ensures the game is played fairly.

My idol is Hon’ble Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni. In my childhood, I tried to copy their style and always wished to be a good cricket player. Essay on My Favourite Sport Badminton

Among all the indoor and outdoor activities, I love to play badminton the most. Badminton is played as an indoor and outdoor game but traditionally it was an indoor game. It is one of the most admired sports among children and adults. Badminton is my favourite sport because it requires speed, practice, precision, stamina, and accuracy all at the same time.

A player needs to be very attentive while playing badminton. When each stroke of the shuttle makes a ‘whoosh’ sound, it infuses a feeling of competitiveness and enthusiasm to perform extraordinarily against the opponent.

I am a huge admirer of Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu. Watching them perform makes me feel so proud and more inclined towards the sport. It’s my dream to play a badminton tournament at the National level and win for the country.

The strategic depth of football is another aspect that fascinates me. Unlike many sports, football isn’t just about physical prowess; it’s a mental game where tactics and teamwork play crucial roles. Watching teams manoeuvre, adapt, and execute strategies is akin to a live chess match, making each game a unique experience.

Another aspect that makes football my favourite sport is its universality. It transcends cultural, racial, and geographical boundaries, uniting people under a common love for the game. My hobby is reading books. Reading a book is one of my favorite pass times and since I work with words for a living it is also one of my favorite work tasks. There are no words that can describe my admiration and respect for the written word and the modest book that houses them. Even though great thinker of antiquity like Socrates despised the written word calling it unresponsive and dead we have to give out thanks to its ability to conserve knowledge for generations.

My hobby reading books is the best way to escape from the torment of the world and to rest in a world of imagination. Undisturbed by the troubles of my life, my mind can rest from all the stress it goes through every day and find comfort in the words of wise writers or happiness in those that like more light-hearted topics.

Not only do I read books but I also collect them and spend endless hours searching for the right edition for their collection. I even save up money so that I can buy books and extend my library or spend fortunes on rare historic manuscripts.

The fact of the matter is that there is no better way for me to rest and at the same time practice my brain by reading a book, so as far as my hobby reading books goes this way, it is the best pass time I can have. Believe me, once you start exploring the sea of stories written on paper you will never want to stop exploring.

Hobby is something that is of our interest and keeps us engaged in our free time with a free mind. A good habit will not only help us to escape from our daily cores but also keeps us peaceful. Studies prove that practicing a good hobby will keep us away from many mind related problems and loneliness as well.

Reading books as My Hobby:

Hobby is something that develops with us from an early age. I find happiness in reading books in my lonely time to free my mind of stress and study pressures. My hobby is reading books. Reading books is the best knowledge gaining hobby. My hobby reading books has helped me to improve my language too. When I start reading, I create my own imaginary and creative world to travel with the story.

Reading thriller novels will help me to travel to that world with mystery and stories with adventures will improve my creative side, as I am constantly imagining the scenario that’s happening in the story and so on. Thus my hobby reading books interest me the most, has helped me to understand the language better, create noble and ideal thoughts in me and more.

Inspirational and instructive books have always inspired my growing mind to follow the better path to achieve my life goal. By reading books I can be updated on the present world. A person with understandability towards anything will be able to acquire their desired heights more easily and books are molding me to be one.

Living amidst books makes me feel happier and loneliness has never touched me at any point in my life. Books have become my best friend since childhood and I can feel the positive changes they create in me.

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.”

We have all heard of this adage time and again and it also throws light on how important it truly is to make sure that we all have a hobby.

The game of cricket:

Well, my hobby is cricket as I have been enjoying this sport since a very tender age. I remember gazing from the winnow of my room and watching the grown-ups immerse themselves in a game of cricket. I would spend hours watching them and remembering the different shots, the way the bowlers threw the ball at different angles and even imagined myself excelling at cricket.

The need for passion:

I believe that regardless of what we choose, it is important for each one of us to have a hobby. My hobby is something which keeps me going and it adds to my verve and energy. If you develop a good hobby, it will make sure that you would have something to unwind your mind.

When I go out to play cricket, in that moment, I do not think of anything else as I am cool, composed and nothing else matters. So, if you have not yet found your thing which you can truly call as a hobby, I suggest you do so.

I knew my hobby since a tender age and it soon grew into my passion and I can say with utmost pride that I am quite good at cricket. When you truly love something, your zest will give you the kick to excel in it too.

I have a lot of hobbies to pass my time. One of such things is drawing. Even when I was a little child, drawing has always made me happy. Sitting quietly in a place, I can draw for hours. It keeps me busy and relaxes my mind. There is a little secret to why I love drawing so much.

As a person, I am less talkative. Because of that, there are very few friends in my life. The thing is that, instead of speaking out everything, I prefer to express my emotions silently. And drawing just helps me do that.

Sketching is not merely a pass time to me. God has given me a beautiful way to share my thoughts and feelings through drawing. It is an art that becomes my voice when I wish to be quiet. Moreover, drawing also helps me connect more with nature. Trees, birds, animals, rivers, clouds are some of the favorite things that I like to draw.

My art teacher praises the passion I have for drawing. She also appreciates the blending of shades and strokes of brushes when I paint something. My parents and friends always encourage me for the same.

I wish to pursue drawing for the rest of my life. It is my dream to become a true artist one day and that is only possible with regular practice and devotion.

Introduction:

My hobby is dancing. Dancing is the art of performing purposefully selected sequence of movements by humans. Dance is a beautiful hobby that slowly builds in an individual. Dancing becomes a hobby to people who like to listen to music because as they listen, they tend to accompany the beats with dance moves. Although some people might be enjoying music but they are unable to dance because dancing is a performance that requires a skill that not everyone can master.

How it began:

Ever since I was a child, I have been chubby and so my parents had to sign me up for dancing lessons so that I can get physically fit. The dancing lessons seemed enjoyable but when I joined the first class I was unable to dance. I developed a strong determination to learn how to dance because by nature I do not like to accept failure. Within a few weeks, I had learned how to dance and it grew in me and dancing became my hobby. I would dance everywhere and that is how I grew fond of my hobby dancing.

Benefits of My Hobby Dancing:

Through my hobby dancing, I was able to lose weight and my chubbiness was gone. The regular dancing that I have been doing has kept me fit. Sometimes I make money from dancing especially during the holidays. Dancing at events or festivals earns me money. At school, I have won awards because I participate in dance as an extracurricular activity. It is a great feeling to have dancing as my hobby because it is what I love and enjoy.

Who are we without our hobbies? Apart from our physical appearances, the collection of the things we do is what makes us distinct from the next person. While there are things we do simply because we have to, we do others because we love to.

Hobbies are things we do because we have a natural inclination to do so. They give us so much pleasure that we would spend our life time doing it. This is why people try to build their respective professions around their hobbies. By so doing, an ordinarily difficult task suddenly becomes simple.

My love for sewing:

Though I have a lot of hobbies, my love for sewing stands out from the crowd. It all started when my mother bought a sewing machine when I was younger. I was immediately fascinated by the mechanical excellence of the equipment. First, it was the way the machine rolled. Then I was puzzled about the thread movement and how it miraculously turned torn pieces into masterpieces.

Subsequently, my curiosity became a source of entertainment. I would play around the machine and time would disappear while I do so. I would cut my old clothing and run it through the machine just to see it move. Slowly and surely, I became enchanted with sewing so much that it dominated my thought and became my hobby.

Now, I would not leave a single week without creating something adorable with the sewing machine. A few moments spent away from this intriguing environment feels like an eternity. What’s more, I have found that sewing has a therapeutic effect on me. It helps clear my thought and keeps me focused on a single task. Though there is financial gain in this endeavor I do it simply for the thrill.

Me and my hobby:

Sewing is my hobby and it is refreshing to me but over time I realized that by virtue of my love for this craft I became interested in related fields. First, I have to create a sketch of what to sew. This process is a purely creative one. As I draw, I can picture what I would do to the real fabric when I eventually get on the machine. I also visualize what the eventual dress would look like on me or whoever would eventually wear it.

Then, I cut pieces of the fabric as outlined in my drawings. The cutting stage is mainly about precision. The materials have to be systematically shaped in such a way that it fits the measurement taken. Any deviation from this would lead to undesired results.

Finally, the pieces are carefully held together by the automated needle of the machine. This is the most fulfilling part of the process. This is so because seeing the conceptualized idea come to bare serves as an icing on the cake. However, the feeling of excitement I experience after the cloth is made quickly evaporates. I am immediately left with the desire to start over again. Though the process might seem mechanical or even uninspiring to an onlooker, I wouldn’t trade my hobby of sewing for anything else in the world.

Any activity which one does for pleasure is called as a hobby. It can anything ranging from reading books, spending time with your pets, travelling around, talking to new people, just anything which gives immense pleasure to a person and relieves a person of the tensions of daily life. I too have a hobby which is quite common in the world as so many people do it.

Overall these years, I have the pleasure of reading the Harry Potter series, which still remain the best, The Shiva Trilogy from Amish Tripathi, books from good authors both from India and abroad.

We all have different hobbies based on our interests, dislikes and likes.

Types of Hobbies:

There are a lot of different types of hobbies that we can show interest in and develop, examples of hobbies are singing, dancing, playing outdoor or indoor games, drawing, collecting antiques, bird watching, writing, photography, reading, eating, playing, sports, music, gardening, cooking, watching TV, talking and any other activity you can think of. Our different hobbies that become a source of earning money and a means of livelihood and we can build a very successful career out of our hobbies. A hobby is meant to be enjoyed in our leisure time but it can become a lot more than that.

My Hobbies:

One popular misconception is that we can have only one hobby; this is totally not true. As a child growing up, I loved and enjoyed cooking and I would spend hours watching cooking programmes and watching my parents cook. Sooner rather than later, I also started trying out different recipes and dishes I had seen on TV and sometimes even tweaked a few things and made delicacies of my own. Cooking gave my childhood so much joy and bliss which made it one of my hobbies, I could cook all day and I get just happy at the thought of trying out a new recipe. Another hobby of mine is soccer which is kind of an accidental hobby (if there is anything like that). I had always loved watching football (or soccer) and was pretty good at analysis and understanding of the game but I never really tried playing the sport because of my first hobby that is cooking which meant I was more of the indoor person. Fate would have it that one of my close friends was on the varsity soccer team and all the goalkeepers got injured so he told me about an open audition for the position of goalkeeper and I just decided to try out. I was wonderful at the try outs and got a spot on the varsity soccer team, I became a pretty brilliant goalkeeper and I look forward to every opportunity to get on the field of play. There is this feeling of fulfilment and satisfaction I get anytime I am on the field of play. It is very possible to have more than one hobby so open yourself to the possibilities of all the different activities and interesting things around us.

My Favourite Hobby:

My favourite hobby is gardening. I spend most of my leisure time when I am not cooking or playing soccer in gardening. Gardening has been a huge source of knowledge, education, delight and entertainment to me. I have had the opportunity to learn a lot of new things on flowers, plants, vegetables, butterflies and even birds from gardening. My parents have a little plot of land where I pursue and practice this hobby. I have different varieties of vegetables, flowers and a few fruit trees in my garden. Some of the vegetables I grow are carrots, tomatoes, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach, radish, chillies, bitter gourd, etc. I also grow flowers like jasmine, roses, lilies, merry gold, carnation, poppies, flux and forget-me-not. These flowers make the garden a delight to behold and give the garden a soothing fragrance.

There are a few fruit-trees in the garden including banana, mango, guava and pomegranate. The garden is visited often by quite a number of birds and there are even some birds are live permanently on the fruit trees. The chirping sound made by the birds and their sweet music gives the garden the perfect condition and makes it the ideal place to be.

Gardening has also helped my other hobby (soccer) by keeping me mentally alert, physically fit and very fresh. The ambience of the garden is highly invigorating, fresh and soothing; there is calmness to the atmosphere of the garden. The processes and activities involved in gardening include weeding, digging, grafting, cutting, maturing, watering and the tilling of the soil. All of these activities get me the needed physical exercise I need to make my body fit and keep me sharp mentally.

A lot of family members and friends appreciate my hobby gardening. Over the years, I have been able to develop skills needed in gardening, sometimes; my father also helps me maintain the garden. I have a worthy and wonderful collection of magazines and books on vegetables, flowers, fruit trees and also gardening overall. It is quite a wonderful experience to watch plants grow, develop and blossom.

I am not full of knowledge in gardening; sometimes, I get advice and help from a professional gardener so as to know the right thing to do. I spend a large chunk of my money purchasing manure, seeds, fertilisers, books on gardening and gardening tools and implements. I try to catch all the programmes on television about gardening, I visit plant and flower shows and also fruit and vegetable exhibition. I try my possible best to balance all my hobbies, studies and other engagements without hurting any one of them for the others.

Gardening motivates me and gives me a sense of purpose about what I can achieve with my life. Once I am gardening, I forget about all of my worries, troubles and problems of the world. I am my happiest when I am working in the garden or when I get to give my friends and my family members fruits from the garden.

My Hobby Essay 1000 Words

Football, more than just a game, is a world of its own that brings people together, transcending borders and cultures. From the moment I kicked my first ball, I was captivated by the sheer joy and freedom it offered. This essay explores my journey with football as a hobby, its impact on my life, and the lessons it continues to teach me.

The Beginning: Falling in Love with Football

My journey with football began in my early childhood, in the open fields of my local park. It was there, amidst laughter and shouts, that I discovered my passion for the game. The excitement of chasing the ball, the camaraderie among players, and the thrill of scoring a goal hooked me completely. Football was no longer just a pastime; it became my hobby, my passion, and a significant part of my identity.

The Game: More Than Just Playing

Playing football is not just about the physical game; it’s about strategy, teamwork, and mental toughness. Each match is a new challenge, a puzzle to be solved with creativity and cooperation. As I honed my skills on the field, I also learned the importance of communication, leadership, and resilience. Football taught me to think on my feet, adapt to changing situations, and above all, work harmoniously with others towards a common goal.

The Challenges: Growing Through Adversity

Like any journey, mine with football has had its share of obstacles. Injuries, defeats, and moments of self-doubt tested my commitment to the game. However, these challenges only deepened my love for football. They taught me the value of perseverance, the importance of dedication, and the power of a positive mindset. Overcoming these hurdles has made every victory on the field even more rewarding.

The Community: A Sense of Belonging

Football has given me a community, a sense of belonging to something larger than myself. Whether it’s with friends at a local park or with a team in a more structured league, the bonds formed on the football field are unique and enduring. This community has supported me through thick and thin, celebrating every triumph and commiserating every defeat. It’s a brotherhood forged in sweat and ambition, a family united by a shared love for the game.

The Lessons: Beyond the Field

The lessons learned from playing football extend far beyond the field. It has taught me about respect—respect for the rules, opponents, and the spirit of the game. It has instilled in me the importance of hard work, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Football has been a mirror reflecting my strengths and weaknesses, pushing me to grow, not just as a player, but as a person.

The Impact: Shaping My Worldview

Football has shaped my worldview in profound ways. It has taught me that success is not just about talent; it’s about effort, attitude, and the courage to keep going despite setbacks. This hobby has shown me the beauty of diversity and the strength that comes from unity. It has made me more open-minded, tolerant, and appreciative of different cultures and backgrounds.

The Future: Continuing the Journey

My journey with football is far from over. I look forward to many more years of playing, learning, and growing with the game. Football will continue to be a significant part of my life, offering new challenges to overcome and more joy to discover. As I move forward, I am excited about passing on my love for the game to others, inspiring them to find the same joy and passion in football that I have.

Playing football is more than a hobby; it is a vital part of who I am. It has enriched my life in countless ways, teaching me lessons that extend well beyond the game. Football has given me a community, shaped my character, and provided a source of joy, passion, and fulfillment. As I lace up my boots and step onto the field, I am reminded of the incredible journey football has taken me on—a journey of growth, camaraderie, and love for the beautiful game.

My Hobby Essay 10 Lines

My hobby is playing football, a sport that brings joy and excitement into my life. From the moment I kick the ball, I feel a surge of energy and freedom. It’s not just about scoring goals; it’s about teamwork, strategy, and the thrill of the game. Every match is a new adventure, offering lessons in perseverance, discipline, and sportsmanship. On the field, I forget all my worries, focusing solely on the game and my teammates. Football has taught me the importance of hard work, determination, and the value of practice. Whether playing in the rain or under the shining sun, the joy of football remains constant. It connects me with people from different backgrounds, fostering friendships and understanding. Through football, I’ve learned to set goals, celebrate successes, and learn from defeats. This hobby is an essential part of my life, offering physical fitness, fun, and invaluable life lessons.

Location: Moscow

Your perfect city to live in: Moscow only

One thing you can’t imagine yourself without: Cell phone, not romantic, but honest answer.

Five things you always take with you when traveling: Books; sneakers; my favourite Jo Malone vanilla-anise candle, to make myself feel home everywhere and La Mer face moisturizer.

What inspires you: My friends! Their lifestyle, stories, thoughts, sense of humour. I appreciate them most in my life.

What’s your favourite food: Mango and black porridge with hummus. That’s what I can eat, even if I’m not hungry at the moment. I don’t eat meat, but fish or any kind of seafood (except oysters, I hate them) is my weakness.

12725061_193091964388095_2078527490_n

What makes you sad: Homeless pets and my 100-years grandmother asking me for marriage and kids, because she wants to dance on my wedding (as she is telling me).

Music: The Weekend, James Blake, The XX, Pompeya, Assai.

Books: A lot. In the blue moments, Carlos Castaneda’s books fill me up and help me move on.

What is your style signature? Black colour. Pure, natural materials and simplicity. But high quality is always my priority.

12725130_172088083168726_582839870_n (1)

How would you describe Moscow to someone who has never been? It never gives you a feeling which you never had before. Different to Europe, where you find depth and history, or USA full of joy and freedom. Moscow is only about yourself, it only improves what you already have. Never gifts, never helps.

Where is the best place in Moscow to have a coffee and watch people go by? Coffeemania, Correa’s, new one – Wine and Bread is my favourite, simple and cosy place.

Where is the best place to have a drink? I think Mandarin Bar, but I never go only for drinks actually.

Where do you go for a good lunch with girlfriends? Fresh cafe is a right place for girls for lunch. But sometimes we go to Pushkin or Dr. Zhivago to take meal in the middle of the day. Because life should not only be lived, but celebrated too.

The best pastry shop? Not really sure, I don’t eat them much, but Magnolia’s bakery is fantastic. Isn’t it?

Tell me about your ideal day in Moscow.

12552222_543317995837511_713261852_n

Wake up with the one I love, go for late breakfast to Correa’s on Gasheka Street, talk about everything for hours, take at least 2 big cappuccinos and then part for a while. Go to blow dry and manicure to Fen Dry Bar, make brows and express make up at Brow Up! Meet again, go for a walk, or to see some friends and family/theatre/cinema/museum/stay at home watching “Only lovers left alive” or reading Freud loud to each other. All activity has a meaning if you are in love and able to spend a day with the one you gave your heart to.

Best Shopping Area: Aizel, Bizou shop, Beriozka, Zara, rehab shop. These are locations which I usually visit, looking for something new. It’s not concentrated in only one area unfortunately.

What is the cool club to go to? There are none.

Where can you always spot the fashion crowd? Interesting question. I guess, the real fashion, the place where it starts is a subway. There you should find a lot of true fashionistas.

Where do you go for a manicure? My Fairy Lady on Patriarshie, lovely and soul-warm place. Hi to Tatiana, the best nail master ever!

Your spa? Vostochniy Express on Bolshoi Kislovskiy. Super service, all you need for recovery in one place.

Your favourite multi-brand shop? Already mentioned Aizel.

Your secret beauty tips?

  • Clarisonic face brush gave me the best version of my skin I’ve ever had.
  • Less is More (Cosmotheca shop) volume shampoo and conditioner is the best hair product I’ve tried.
  • Once a week put coconut oil all over your body and hair for the night. I’m practicing it for 5 years already and have to say, that no spa is needed if you have enough coconut oil!
  • Henna for eyebrows dying. Try in Brow Up! Best results ever!
  • At least once a week: put your warmest and cosiest pyjama and wool socks, take a fresh mint-honey tea, and open a window, go to sleep for at least 10 hours. This is the simplest beauty tip I could recommend to anyone. It really works for your face and soul, trust me.

6 Bargain Buys from Football Manager 2007

  • by Dev Bajwa
  • Gaming , Football Manager
  • January 28, 2024 February 8, 2024

Though I started playing this game in 2006, my fandom really started with Football Manager 2007 / ‘FM 07’, and I’ve struggled to have the same love for the game now as I did back then!

Table of Contents

Why was Football Manager 2007 so good?

Firstly, I think there’s an innocent and nostalgia which plays a part here.

The modern-day equivalents are obviously better.

You can speak personally with players, conduct interviews in more depth and even speak to agents prior to approaching talent in the transfer market – and it gets better every year!

But I do miss the times when things were a little bit simpler, when it didn’t take very long to load and you could actually rely on a goalkeeper to make a save in a ‘ key highlight ‘ without having to waste your life staring at whatever unfolds under extended.

And with the option of classic FM databases being available in newer versions , I thought it’d be fun to look back at 6 of my personal favourite bargains from Football Manager 2007.

Maxi Lopez – Striker (Club: FC Moscow)

Kicking off this list is the Argentine striker Maxi Lopez, a potent goal-scorer available at FC Moscow in Football Manager 2007. Known for his clinical finishing and poise in front of goal, Lopez is brilliant.

Usually game to go to the EFL Championship and above for about £3m .

Despite his relatively low initial cost, Lopez boasts the potential for substantial goal returns, making him an ideal addition for clubs seeking a budget-friendly goal-scoring machine. Act fast, as other virtual managers might soon discover the treasure that Maxi Lopez represents in the Football Manager transfer market.

Freddy Adu – Attacking Midfielder (Club: Benfica)

The quintessential wonderkid.

It’s impossible to do many of these lists of classic FM wonder kids without delving into the ‘what if’ story of Freddy Adu, even on Football Manager 2007 – where his star was beginning to shine a little bit.

Compared to the previous year when he’s still in America, he’s now at Benfica in a more officialised CAM midfield role which limits a little bit of the versatility that made him so universally attractive .

15-year-old Nimfash Berchimas is the youngest player to represent and score for the USA at the U17 Men's World Cup since a 14-year-old Freddy Adu in 2003: 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟑: Adu scored four goals in his first two games at the U17 World Cup 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑: Berchimas scores three goals in his… pic.twitter.com/OvKqnp5cNA — B/R Football (@brfootball) November 15, 2023

That being said, Adu’s dribbling ability, vision , and knack for finding the back of the net make him a valuable asset in the attacking third . Given his relatively low cost, acquiring Adu early in the game provides an opportunity for virtual managers to mould him into a creative force that can unlock opposition defenses.

You’ll struggle to get him on a permanent deal right away as I believe he transferred here this year, but a loan for him as a ‘key player’ with a potential buy clause north of £5m should do it!

Darijo Srna – Not Even Sure (Club: Shakhtar Donetsk)

Captain versatility, I used to love buying Darijo Srna.

He was the ultimate Football Manager 2007 cheat code. Imagine everything that’s good about Andres Guardado on the left side, this is what Srna would provide for any team on the right.

Srna’s versatility allows him to contribute both defensively and offensively, making him an asset on the right flank. Given his relatively low initial cost, acquiring Srna can be a strategic move for managers looking to strengthen their squad without exhausting their budget.

🚨🟠 Darijo Srna will be appointed as new Shakhtar Donetsk caretaker head coach following decision to sack Van Leeuwen. 🇭🇷 Former Croatian right back is director at Shatkhar since 2020… and he’ll now help the club by becoming the interim manager. pic.twitter.com/YRrs1wcgmH — Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) October 16, 2023

That being said, given the stature of Shakhtar and the enviable stats he already possesses, only top clubs can get him on FM 07, but most of them have the £10m-or-so required to do so.

Branislav Ivanovic – Defender (Club: Lokomotiv Moscow)

In the heart of defense, Serbian stalwart Branislav Ivanovic emerges as a bargain buy for virtual managers. Starting at Lokomotiv Moscow , Ivanovic combines defensive solidity with the ability to contribute offensively from set-pieces.

Back then, he was also just as adept in the centre of the defence as he was on the wide right.

His aerial prowess, tackling ability, and leadership make Ivanovic an invaluable addition to any defensive line. Considering his potential for growth and the relatively low cost, virtual managers looking to shore up their defense should keep a close eye on this hidden gem.

He could even cost in the region of £2m – depending on how good of a negotiator you are!

Mauro Zarate – Forward (Club: Al-Sadd)

A man immortalised by the famous ‘Zarate Kid’ series on YouTube – at least, for me he was!

An exciting attacking prospect, Mauro Zarate, can be found plying his trade at Al-Sadd in Football Manager 2007. The Argentine forward’s speed , flair , and goal-scoring ability make him a thrilling addition to any squad, especially for clubs operating on a limited budget.

Zarate’s dribbling skills and versatility across the front line provide virtual managers with a dynamic attacking option. Given his relatively low initial cost, securing Zarate early in the game can pave the way for a budget-friendly investment that pays dividends in goals and excitement.

However much like Freddy Adu earlier, you’re going to have to be tactical and play a bit of a long game to get him on the deal you want. But it might be worth it at c. £4m .

Javier Saviola – Striker (Club: Real Madrid)

Yeah, you’ll need to be a Premier League, Serie A or Bundesliga team for this.

Not for the fee ( around £7m ), but certainly for the wages of a Real Madrid fledgling.

Happy Birthday Javier Saviola! 🎂 pic.twitter.com/K2lk5p16Fn — Classic Football Shirts (@classicshirts) December 11, 2023

Despite his stature, Saviola’s agility, clinical finishing, and poise in front of goal make him a bargain buy for clubs seeking a seasoned striker at an affordable cost.

Saviola’s wealth of experience adds a leadership element to any squad, and his goal-scoring instincts can prove crucial in decisive moments. For virtual Football Manager 2007 coaches looking for a budget-friendly forward with a relatively proven record, Saviola is a gem waiting to be rescued.

There’s nothing like unearthing your very own gem on FM.

And there are a plethora of choices on Football Manager 2007

So, if you decide to go back to this brilliant game or use one of the databases available to download on the newer games, then make sure you get at least one of these players for your team.

Who is your ultimate Football Manager 2007 bargain?
