ఈ వారంలో విడుదలైన సినిమాల్లో ప్రధానంగా ప్రేక్షకుల దృష్టిని ఆకర్షించిన సినిమాలు... మూడు.  అందులో ఒకటి... ‘దొంగలున్నారు జాగ్రత్త’. సర్వైవల్‌ థ్రిల్లర్‌గా ఈ సినిమా ప్రచారంలో నిలిచింది. సురేష్‌ ప్రొడక్షన్స్‌ సంస్థ సమర్పిస్తుండడం... కాన్సెప్ట్‌ చిత్రాలు ఎంచుకుంటూ ప్రయాణం చేస్తున్న శ్రీసింహా నటించడం... సముద్రఖని, శ్రీకాంత్‌ అయ్యంగార్‌ తదితరులుండటంతో సినిమా చూడాలనే ఆసక్తిని పెంచింది. మరి ఈ సినిమా ఎలా ఉంది? ఇంతకీ దొంగలెవరు?

కథేంటంటే: రాజు (శ్రీసింహా కోడూరి) ఓ దొంగ.  కార్లలో ఉండే విలువైన వస్తువుల్ని  దొంగతనం చేస్తుంటాడు. అలా ఒకరోజు దొంగతనం కోసం ఓ కారుని ఎంచుకుంటాడు. తీరా అందులోకి ఎక్కాక లాక్‌ అయిపోతుంది. బయటికి రాకుండా  అందులోనే ఇరుక్కుపోతాడు. అంతలో ఓ వాయిస్‌ అతనికి వినిపిస్తుంది. రాజు అలా కార్‌లో లాక్‌ అయిపోవడం వెనక ఓ వైద్యుడు ఉన్నాడని తెలుస్తుంది. ఇంతకీ ఎవరా  వైద్యుడు? రాజునే ఎందుకు టార్గెట్‌ చేశాడు? కారులోనుంచి అతను బయటపడ్డాడా లేదా? అనేది మిగతాకథ.

ఎలా ఉందంటే: తెలుగు తెరకి ఓ కొత్త జోనర్‌ని పరిచయం చేసిన చిత్రమిది. సర్వైవల్‌ థ్రిల్లర్‌ అంటూ చిత్రబృందం ప్రచారం చేసింది. 4×4 అనే  విదేశీ చిత్రం దీనికి స్ఫూర్తి. పతాక సన్నివేశాలు మినహా దాదాపుగా కథంతా ఒక కారులోనే జరగడం ఈ సినిమా ప్రత్యేకత. అసలు కథలోకి వెళ్లడానికి సమయం పడుతుంది. ఆరంభ సన్నివేశాలు సాగదీతగా, అంతంత మాత్రంగా  అనిపిస్తాయి. దొంగ కారులో ఇరుక్కుపోయాక, అతనికి కారులో వాయిస్‌తో కనెక్ట్‌ అయిన వ్యక్తి పాత్ర మరింత ప్రభావం చూపించడం మొదలుపెట్టాక అసలు కథ జోరందుకున్నట్టు అనిపిస్తుంది.  ఇలాంటి నేర నేపథ్యం ఉన్న కథలకి మరింత ఉత్కంఠ, థ్రిల్లింగ్‌ అంశాలు కీలకం. భావోద్వేగాలతోనూ కట్టిపడేసే ఆస్కారం ఉన్న కథ. ఈ కాన్సెప్ట్‌ బాగానే ఉన్నా దాన్ని ఆసక్తికరంగా తెరపైకి తీసుకు రావడంలో దర్శకుడు విఫలమయ్యారు. దొంగ కారులో లాక్‌ చేయడం వెనక ఉన్న రహస్యం ఒక్కొక్కటిగా బయటకి రావడం ఆసక్తిని రేకెత్తించినా, ఆ తర్వాత సన్నివేశాలతో ఇదొక సాధారణ ప్రతీకార కథలా మారిపోతుంది. దొంగతనాల తర్వాత వాటి తాలూకు ప్రభావం నేపథ్యాన్ని ఆవిష్కరిస్తూ చెప్పిన సందేశం సినిమాకి ప్రధానబలం. పతాక సన్నివేశాలు ఆకట్టుకుంటాయి. నిడివి తక్కువ అయినా కథ, కథనాలు ప్రేక్షకులపై పెద్దగా ప్రభావం చూపించవు.

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే: శ్రీసింహా కోడూరి నటన చిత్రానికి ప్రధానబలం. కథంతా తన చుట్టూనే తిరుగుతుంది. కారులోనే కనిపిస్తూ, ప్రతీ సన్నివేశంలోనూ క్లోజప్‌లో కనిపించాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఇలాంటి పాత్రల్ని పోషించడం కత్తిమీద సాము. ద్వితీయార్ధంలో ఆయన నటన మరింతగా మెప్పిస్తుంది.  సముద్రఖని, శ్రీకాంత్‌, ప్రీతి అస్రాని కీలకమైన పాత్రల్లో కనిపిస్తారు. శుభలేఖ సుధాకర్‌ వాయిస్‌ ఓవర్‌ బలమైన ప్రభావం చూపించింది. సాంకేతిక విభాగాల్లో సంగీతం గురించి మొదట చెప్పుకోవాలి. కాలభైరవ నేపథ్య సంగీతంతో మరోసారి తనదైన ముద్రవేశారు. ఛాయాగ్రాహకుడు యశ్వంత్‌.సి కెమెరా పనితనం మెప్పిస్తుంది. పరిమితుల మధ్యే తనదైన పనితీరుతో ప్రభావం చూపించారు. దర్శకుడు పనితనం కొన్ని సన్నివేశాల్లో మాత్రమే కనిపిస్తుంది. నిర్మాణం సినిమా స్థాయికి తగ్గట్టుగా ఉంది.

Dongalunnaru Jagratta, a survival thriller starring Sri Simha Koduri and Preeti Asrani in the lead roles is up for a grand release this Friday. Suresh Babu of Suresh Productions and Sunitha Tati of Guru Films have jointly produced this film and it is helmed by debutant Satish Tripura. Ahead of the movie’s release, we had a brief interaction with the hero Sri Simha. Here is the transcript.

What excited you to do this film?

The film has a gripping story and also it is a new genre film. Without stretching the film, the director Sathish wrote a strong suspense thriller. Having Suresh Productions and Guru Films associated with us has even excited me more.

How is your role going to be in the movie?

I played a thief and there will be a character arc in this story. We have shown how a thief who came to rob has changed himself realizing his mistakes. We tried to show the thief character very naturally. You will be irritated seeing the thief but at the same time, you will empathize with him after he changes.

Had it been difficult shooting the majority part in a car?

It is more challenging for the camera department rather than me. There won’t be more space just while shooting in a room. Here we are shooting in a car and you can thereby understand how difficult it would have been. But camera man Yashwanth has done a brilliant job. You wouldn’t feel bored any where.

A few words about the director Satish Trupura?

Sathish Tripura did direction course in Ramanaidu film institute and later worked as an associate for Suresh Production’s movies. He wrote this script with a clear vision in his mind. He succeeded in taking his story to the big screen.

Will you take suggestions from the family for selecting stories?

I will take their suggestions, but the final call would be mine. When it comes to Dongalunnaru Jagraata I didn’t take their advice, I heard the story and felt it to be good. Hence I okayed it. I will ask for suggestions from the entire family but as I said I will make the final decision.

How did Rajamouli react after watching the film?

He felt very happy. Initially, I didn’t tell them about this movie. After the completion, we arranged a special show for the family. Rajamouli Garu was very delighted after watching the film. He suggested a few changes. After making those, the film became even stronger.

What about your future projects?

I am currently doing Bhaag Saale and Ustaad movies. Bhaag Saale might release this year. Ustaad is in the production phase as of now.

Young actor Sri Simha’s survival drama, Dongalunnaru Jaagratha has hit the screens today. Let’s analyse it.

Raju( Sri Simha) a small time thief breaks into a customized car. As an unexpected scenario, the doors do not open and the control panel does not respond and will be trapped in it. Later, Raju tries to survive in the car? Who traps Raju in the vehicle? Will the thief be able to survive, forms crucial crux.

On-screen performances:

Firstly, the film has very limited artists in it. While Sri Simha did his part decently as a guy truck in helpless situation, noted actor Samuthirakani is fine in his purposeful role.

Other artists such as Preeti Asrani did their part decently. Srikanth Iyengar is okay in his cameo cop role.

Off-screen Talents:

Music by Kaala Bhairava fails to register. Surprisingly, his background score lacks an impact. The cinematography work by Yeshwanth C is good as he showcased the interior design in the vehicle with different frames.

Editing by Garry BH is okay as he kept the runtime within limits. Production values for this low budget films.

Director Satish Tripura ‘s idea of making a survival drama is good but he execution part lacks a solid flow in it. The scene order is also not that effective.

Positive Points:

• Sri Simha’s acting to an extent

Negative Points:

In an overview, Dongalunnaru Jaagratha is a survival drama that has a good concept but the narration lacks engaging moments. The film is filled with illogical presentation and ends up as a big-time disappointment.

Keeravani’s son Sreesimha is the Hero of the latest film “ Dongalunnaru Jagratha “. This film is a remake of the Hollywood film “4X4” and has been released today. Sri Simha, who got success with the first film and squatted with the second film.. let’s see if he gets success again with the third film..!!

Story : Raju ( Sri Simha ) is a boy who passes the time doing petty thefts. O Costly tries to steal a car and gets stuck in it. As it is a bullet proof car, no matter how hard Raju tries, he cannot get out of that car. At one point he even prepares to take his own life. But..He is shocked to know that the reason he got locked in that car was a doctor. Who is that doctor? Why does he lock Raju in the car? How did the king finally get out of that car? is a ‘ Dongalunnaru Jagratha ’storyline.

Cast : Beside Samudrakhani, who appears occasionally. In addition.. Sreesimhan will be seen in the whole movie. He seemed to be fine in fun scenes, but when he had to show anger and helplessness, he was relieved. When you know that the entire film depends on you and you have the responsibility to carry the film, you have to do more homework on the character. Own the role and live in that role. This is a movie that proves that Sreesimha still needs to grow as an actor.

Technical Performance:  Apart from Kalabhairava’s music, there is not a single technical performance that can be said to be a plus point in the film, and the fact that the cinematography work, which is very important for this type of film, is soso is a big minus for the film. Even the sound design, which was meant to thrill, failed to impress. Even the production design didn’t work.

The director was able to take inspiration from Hollywood movies, but he could not take care in making changes in the story to suit the Indian nativity. Therefore, the audience watching the movie will feel bored. If the audience feels bored even in a 90-minute movie, then it must be said that it is the director’s failure.

Analysis : The courage shown by the young hero Srisimha in choosing this story is to be admired. But.. the way the movie is shot, it takes a lot of patience to endure the 90 minutes length.
