നടന്‍ ഭീമന്‍ രഘുവിന്‍റെ സംവിധാന അരങ്ങേറ്റമാണ് ചാണ. ഭീമന്‍ രഘുവാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ കേന്ദ്ര കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും. ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ട്രെയ്‍ലര്‍ പുറത്തെത്തി. ഉപജീവനത്തിനായി തെങ്കാശിയില്‍ നിന്ന് തന്റെ തൊഴില്‍ ഉപകരണമായ ചാണയുമായി കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് വരുന്ന ഒരു തമിഴ് യുവാവിന്‍റെ ജീവിതത്തിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന ആകസ്മിക സംഭവങ്ങളാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇതിവൃത്തം. ഭീമന്‍ രഘുവെന്ന അഭിനേതാവിനെ ഇതുവരെ കാണാത്ത വേണ്ടപ്പകര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ കാണാനാവുമെന്ന് അണിയറപ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ അറിയിക്കുന്നു. ബാലചന്ദ്ര മേനോന്‍ ആണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ട്രെയ്‍ലര്‍ പുറത്തിറക്കിയത്.

നാട്ടിൻപുറത്തെ മനോഹര നിമിഷങ്ങളും നർമ സന്ദർഭങ്ങളും കോർത്തിണക്കിയുളള കോമഡി–ഫാമിലി എന്റർടെയ്നറാണ് ധ്യാൻ ശ്രീനിവാസൻ ചിത്രം ചീനാ ട്രോഫി. രാജേഷ് എന്ന നാട്ടിൻപുറത്തുകാരന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലുണ്ടാകുന്ന ചില അബദ്ധങ്ങളും ആക്സ്മിക സംഭവങ്ങളുമൊക്കെയാണ് നവാഗതനായ അനിൽ ലാൽ രചനയും സംവിധാനവും നിർവഹിക്കുന്ന ചീനാ ട്രോഫി പറയുന്നത്..
ചെറുപ്പത്തിലെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ നഷ്ടമായ രാജേഷ് ബേക്കറി ഉടമയാണ്. ഒരു കുഞ്ഞു കട, ഇതാണ് അയാളുടെ ഏക ഉപജീവനമാർഗവും. രാജേഷിന്റെ ഉറ്റതോഴനാണ് വിജിചേട്ടൻ. രാജേഷിന്റെ എന്താവശ്യത്തിനും വിജിചേട്ടനും ഒപ്പമുണ്ടാകും. ജാഫർ ഇടുക്കിയാണ് വിജിയായെത്തുന്നത്. ധ്യാനിന്റെയും ജാഫർ ഇടുക്കിയുടെയും കോമ്പിനേഷൻ രംഗങ്ങൾ പ്രേക്ഷകരിൽ ചിരിയുണർത്തും.
അങ്ങനെയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ രാജേഷിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലേക്കൊരു ട്രോഫി എന്ന പോലെ ചൈനയിൽ നിന്നും സെൻസ്വ എന്ന പെൺകുട്ടി എത്തുന്നത്. സെൻസ്വയുടെ വരവ് അയാളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന നേട്ടങ്ങളും കോട്ടങ്ങളുമൊക്കെയാണ് ചിത്രം പങ്കുവയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ലളിതമായൊരു കഥയെ സത്യസന്ധമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ സംവിധായകന് കഴിഞ്ഞു.

ചിത്രത്തിൽ ധ്യാനിന്റെയും കെൻ ഡി സിർദോയുടെയും പ്രകടനമാണ് സിനിമയിൽ എടുത്തുപറയേണ്ട പ്രത്യേകത. വൈകാരികമായ ചില മുഹൂർത്തങ്ങളെ മിതത്വത്തോടെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതിലൂടെ പ്രേക്ഷകരുടെ മനസ്സിൽ തങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്ന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളാവാൻ ഇരുവർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞു. തനിക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ വേണ്ട വിധത്തിൽ പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് മുന്നിൽ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ജോണി ആന്റണിയുടെ ശ്രമം ഇക്കുറിയും വിജയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജാഫർ ഇടുക്കിയും മികവു പുലർത്തി.
സൗഹൃദത്തിന്റെ മൂല്യവും അതിലൂടെ പലപ്പോഴും ആളുകളിൽ വലിയ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും ഒക്കെ ചിത്രം പറഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നുണ്ട്. പുതുമുഖം ദേവിക രമേഷ് ആണ് നായിക. കലാഭവൻ നാരായണൻകുട്ടി, സുനിൽ ബാബു, ലിജോ ഉലഹന്നാൻ, ജോർഡി പൂഞ്ഞാർ, റോയ് തോമസ് പാല, പൊന്നമ്മ ബാബു, ഉഷ, അഖില നാഥ്, ബബിത ബഷീർ എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ മറ്റ് താരങ്ങൾ.
നാട്ടിൻപുറത്തെ നന്മയും അതോടൊപ്പമുള്ള കൊച്ചു കൊച്ചു ഇണക്കങ്ങളും പിണക്കങ്ങളും എല്ലാം സിനിമയിൽ അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. രാജേഷിന്റെ ജീവിതവും അയാൾ അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്ന ചില സംഘർഷങ്ങളും എല്ലാം നമുക്ക് ചുറ്റും നാം എവിടെയൊക്കെയോ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് ചിലപ്പോഴെങ്കിലും തോന്നിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ സംവിധായകന് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. ചീന ട്രോഫിയിലൂടെ മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക് മികച്ചൊരു സംവിധായകനെയും എഴുത്തുകാരനെയും കൂടി ലഭിക്കുകയാണ് എന്ന് പറയാം. ബോറടിപ്പിക്കാതെ, വലിച്ചു നീട്ടാതെ പ്രേക്ഷകരെ പിടിച്ചിരുത്താൻ അനിലിന് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. ചിത്രത്തോട് ചേർന്നു നിൽക്കുന്ന എഡിറ്റിങ്ങും ചീന ട്രോഫിക്ക് മികവ് കൂട്ടുന്നു. രഞ്ജൻ എബ്രഹാമാണ് എഡിറ്റർ. സന്തോഷ് അണിമയുടെ ഛായാഗ്രഹണവും സിനിമയെ ആസ്വാദ്യമാക്കുന്നതില്‍ വലിയ പങ്കു വഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
മനോഹരങ്ങളായ ഗാനങ്ങളാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ മറ്റൊരു പ്രത്യേകത. ഗാനങ്ങൾ എഴുതിയത് അനിൽ ലാൽ ആണ്. സൂരജ് സന്തോഷും വർക്കിയും ചേർന്നാണ് സംഗീത സംവിധാനം നിർവഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
പ്രസിഡൻഷ്യൽ മൂവീസ് ഇന്റർനാഷ്നൽ പ്രൈവറ്റ് ലിമിറ്റഡ്, വർക്കേഴ്സ് ടാക്കീസ് എന്നീ ബാനറുകളിൽ അനൂപ് മോഹൻ, ആഷ്ലിൻ ജോയ് എന്നിവർ ചേർന്നാണ് ഗ്രാമീണ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലുള്ള ഈ ചിത്രം നിർമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. തമാശകളും നാടൻ ശൈലിയുമൊക്കെയായി പ്രേക്ഷകർക്കു മനസ്സറിഞ്ഞ് ചിരിക്കാവുന്ന മനോഹര ചിത്രമാണ് ചീനാ ട്രോഫി.

കലുഷിത ജീവിതം നയിച്ച ഇടിയന്‍ ചന്ദ്രന് ലഭിച്ചത് ദാരുണമായ അന്ത്യമായിരുന്നു. സിനിമ പറയുന്നൊരു വിഷയമുണ്ടിതില്‍. ലഹരി മാഫിയ ഇന്ന് കുട്ടികളെ അണിനിരത്തിയാണ് തങ്ങളുടെ വിപണി കണ്ടെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. സ്‌കൂളുകളും കോളജുകളുമാണ് ഇവരുടെ പ്രധാന പ്രവര്‍ത്തി പഥം.കുട്ടികളാവുമ്പോള്‍ സംശയിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കാനും ഒരു പാട് സാഹചര്യമുണ്ട്. മാത്രമല്ല സ്‌കൂള്‍ എന്നത് എറ്റവും നല്ല വിപണിയുമാണ്.ചന്തുവും ഒരു നാള്‍ ലഹരിമാഫിയയുടെ സംഘര്‍ഷത്തിനിടയില്‍ പെട്ടുപോവുന്നിടത്താണ് സിനിമയ്ക്ക് അതിന്റെ ഗൗരവ സ്വഭാവം കൈവരുന്നത്. വെറുക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായിരുന്ന ചന്തു ഉഗ്രന്‍ ഒരു പോരാട്ടക്കാരനായി ഉയര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കുന്നു. രണ്ടാം ഭാഗത്തിന്‌ സൂചനയിട്ടാണ്‌ സിനിമ അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്‌.
ചിത്രത്തിൽ എടുത്തുപറയേണ്ട ഒന്നാണ്‌ വിഷ്ണു ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണന്‍ എന്ന നടന്റെ വെച്ചുമാറ്റം. സാധു കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് നല്ല ഉശിരുള്ള ഇടി കൊടുക്കുന്ന തകര്‍പ്പന്‍ നടനിലേക്കുള്ള ചുവടുമാറ്റം. തനിക്കും അടിയും ഇടിയും വഴങ്ങും എന്ന് തെളിയിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ് വിഷ്ണു. കട്ടപ്പനയിലെ ഋത്വിക് റോഷന്‍ എന്ന സിനിമയിലൂടെ നായക കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് എത്തിയ വിഷ്ണു അതിന് വര്‍ഷങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുമ്പേത്തന്നെ ബാലതാരമായും മറ്റും സിനിമയില്‍ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യമറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്‌. വെടിക്കെട്ട് എന്ന സിനിമ ബിബിന്‍ ജോര്‍ജ്ജുമായി ചേര്‍ന്ന് സംവിധാനവും ചെയ്തു. നായകനാവുന്നതോടൊപ്പം ആ സിനിമയുടെ തന്നെ സ്‌ക്രിപ്റ്റ് റൈറ്ററാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു വിഷ്ണു.
ഈ സിനിമയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ഹൈലൈറ്റ് സ്റ്റണ്ട് രംഗങ്ങള്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് പീറ്റര്‍ ഹെയ്ന്‍ ആണ്. ഒരു ക്രൗഡ് സ്റ്റണ്ട് സീനാണ് പീറ്റര്‍ ഈ സിനിമയില്‍ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഏകദേശം അഞ്ഞൂറില്‍പ്പരം സ്‌കൂള്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ ഗുണ്ടകളുമായി ഏറ്റുമുട്ടുന്നതാണ് ഇതിലെ പ്രധാന ഹൈലൈറ്റ്‌സ്. സിനിമ പറയുന്ന സന്ദേശം പീറ്ററിനെ ഏറെ ആകര്‍ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു. അതിനാലാണ് ഈ സിനിമ ചെയ്യാമെന്ന് പീറ്റര്‍ ഏറ്റത്. പക്ഷേ പീറ്റര്‍ സ്റ്റണ്ട് ചെയ്ത ബാഹുബലി യുടെ റേഞ്ചില്‍ കാണാന്‍ ഇടിയന്‍ ചന്തുവിന് ടിക്കറ്റ് എടുക്കരുത് എന്നാണ് പറയാനുള്ളത്. കഥയ്ക്കനുസരിച്ചും സാഹചര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസരിച്ചുമാണ് പീറ്റര്‍ ഈ സിനിമ ചെയ്തത്. വലിയ പ്രോജക്റ്റ് എന്ന് നോക്കിയില്ല. പറയുന്ന സബ്ജറ്റിന്റെ പ്രത്യേകതയാണ് പീറ്ററിനെ ഇതിലേക്ക് ആകര്‍ഷിച്ചത്.
ചിത്രീകരണത്തിനായി സ്‌കൂളിനെ സമീപിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ വലിയ സ്വീകരണമാണ് സംവിധായകനും സംഘത്തിനും നല്‍കിയത്. ഇത്തരം സബ്ജക്ടുകളാണ് കൂടുതല്‍ വരേണ്ടത് എന്നാണ് സ്‌കൂള്‍ അധികൃതരും പറഞ്ഞത് എന്നാണ് സംവിധായകനായ ശ്രീജിത്ത് വിജയന്‍ പറയുന്നത്. ജീവിതാനുഭവങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് ഉരുത്തിരിഞ്ഞു വന്ന കഥയാണിത്. ഇതൊരു തല്ലുപടമായി മാത്രം കാണതുത് ഒരു ഇമോഷണല്‍ ട്രാക്ക് കൂടി ഇതിനുണ്ട്.
വിഷ്ണു കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ അടുത്തത് എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടത് ചന്തു എസ്. കുമാര്‍ എന്ന നടനെക്കുറിച്ചാണ്. സലീംകുമാറിന്റെ മകന്‍ എന്ന നിലയിലല്ല നല്ലൊരു അഭിനേതാവ് എന്ന രീതിയിലാണ് ചന്തുവിനെ നാം കാണേണ്ടത്. മഞ്ഞുമ്മല്‍ ബോയ്‌സില്‍ സ്വഭാവവൈചിത്ര്യമുള്ള കൂട്ടുകാരനായി അഭിനയിച്ചതില്‍ നിന്നും വളരെ വ്യത്യസ്തമായ വില്ലന്‍ കഥാപാത്രമാണ് ഇതില്‍ ചന്തുവിന്റേത്‌. തന്റെ കണ്ണുകള്‍ ഒന്ന് തുറന്ന് വെച്ചാല്‍ തന്നെ ക്രൗര്യമുള്ള ഒരു വില്ലനായി തോന്നും. അത്രയ്ക്കുണ്ട് ആ മുഖത്തിലെ വില്ലനിസം. ലാലു അലക്‌സിന്റെ വില്ലത്തരവും നര്‍മ്മവും കലര്‍ന്ന പള്ളീലച്ചന്‍ പ്രേക്ഷകരെ ഒന്ന് ചിരിപ്പിക്കും.ബിജു സോപാനം,ജോണി ആന്റണി, ഐ.എം.വിജയന്‍, ലെന, രമേശ് പിഷാരടി, ശ്രീജിത്ത് രവി, ഐ എം വിജയന്‍, സ്മിനു സിജോ, ഗായത്രി അരുണ്‍, ജയശ്രീ,വിദ്യ, ഗോപി കൃഷ്ണന്‍, കിച്ചു ടെല്ലസ്, സോഹന്‍ സീനുലാല്‍, സൂരജ്, കാര്‍ത്തിക്ക്, ഫുക്രു എന്നിവരും സിനിമയില്‍ നല്ല കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളാകുന്നു.
