Who are the strongest characters in The Case Study of Vanitas?
Published: Feb 28, 2022, 12:05 Updated: Mar 01, 2022, 9:10
The Case Study of Vanitas might be one of the anime season's best-looking anime , but there's action there too.
2) noé archiviste, 3) jean jacques chastel, 5) dominique de sade, 6) roland fortis, 7) astolfo granatum, 8) lord ruthven, 9) chloé d' apchiers, 10) queen faustina/naenia.
True to its shonen roots, the show, which is based on Jun Mochizuki's ongoing manga of the same name , features plenty of stylized battles that are fun and tense to watch. Featuring overpowered vampires, humans, and monsters. But who are the strongest characters in The Case Study of Vanitas?
As the human of the group, the titular Vanitas, who derives his name from an old vampire whose grimoire he now uses, isn't as physically strong as others in this list. While he introduces himself as "an average human being," however, he's revealed to be anything but. Equipped with a cursed grimoire, Vanitas is capable of curing vampires that would otherwise be beyond saving.
Vanitas prefers to avoid fights. Instead, he uses his intellect to face vampires whose true names have been corrupted, while others do the fighting around him, but many vampires would have to be eliminated if not for his use of the book of Vanitas. In a world of overpowered shonen protagonists, it's refreshing to see a character do their fighting with a book. And when he does have to fight, he's quite skilled with a dagger too!
Noé isn't the most strong in the series, as he's beaten up or captured a few times over the course of the series, but he can be pretty awesome in battle. As a vampire, he's equipped with enhanced speed and strength. If possible, he will try to befriend his foes to avoid fighting them, but he will land some blows when he must.
As is the case with Vanitas, Noé's most interesting abilities are intellectual, however. Noé is a member of the Archiviste clan and endowed with the ability to access other people's memories by drinking their blood. This has been the source of interesting flashbacks and insights throughout the anime.
While not a very powerful vampire in himself, Jean-Jacques spread some terror as the Beast of Gédauvan in his attempt to protect his beloved Chloé D' Apchier. While bearing the malnomen of the Beast, his powers included shapeshifting and as well as speedier healing than most vampires can achieve.
At the end of the Beast arc, Jean-Jacques chooses to have his true name restored, and rely on his regular vampire strength to keep himself and Chloé safe.
Jeanne is also known as the Hellfire Witch, which already suggests she's not to be messed with! Like most vampires, she has enhanced speed, endurance, and strength, and she's strongest than most due to her combat training, leaving the two main characters impressed after their first encounter. Moreover, a pair of crimson gauntlets, known as Carpe Diem, allows her to deal increased damage.
Dominque de Sade can be a menace in battle, being proficient in knife throwing and sword-fighting. She's very agile, which makes for impressive acrobatics, while she's also able to manipulate ice, which she shapes into ice waves or shards.

Roland is a human, so he's not naturally endowed with superhuman speed or fast healing. As a Chasseur, he uses perfromance-enhancing drugs when battling against vampires, which can make him a difficult opponent. He can cause real damage with Durandal, his weapon of choice, which can be used as one entity or separate, to accommodate long-range and close-range combat both. Thankfully, like Noé, he can also be open to dialogue and make unlikely friends, which tones down the damage.
Astrolfo is only in his teens, but the anger he fosters against vampires, paired with his paladin training makes him one of the most difficult opponents in the anime. Like Roland, he has access to performance-enhancing tonics, but, unlike him, he tends to abuse them in order to keep fighting for longer, which occasionally causes him to pass out in battle. His weapon of choice, Louisette, is one of the most prominent and scary ones to fight against.
So far, Ruthven hasn't been seen unleashing his rage very often, but when he does, things can get scary. Ruthven has shown himself capable of knocking out everyone in the room, including Jeanne and Noé, who aren't powerless themselves.
In the past, Ruthven was rather idealistic about human and vampire relationships, but this ended abruptly when his attempts to bring them together fail. In the narrative present, he has aligned himself with Charlatan, making him a particularly frightening foe.
Related: Why Does Noe Kill Vanitas in The Case Study of Vanitas?
Despite her youthful appearance, Chloé d' Apchiers is the oldest vampire in the anime, and she has definitely picked up some skills along the way. Her endless youth comes with enhanced strength that allows her to overpower vampires with adult bodies, including Noé and even Augustus Ruthven.
As is the case with other characters in the series, especially Vanitas, much of her power comes from her dedication to research. However, her desire to become a normal human eventually led her to a dark path, as she adopted the malnomen "Millie" which gave her the ability to manipulate gravity, create sealed spaces made of her memories, and create time loops that bend reality.
With her true name restored, Chloé loses many of these powers, as these were associated with her descent to a dark path, but her research and physical strength will hopefully still leave her well-equipped to face dangers yet to come.
Queen Faustina, who has been corrupted into the malnomen Naenia, is the source of many of the problems characters encounter in Season 1 of The Case Study of Vanitas. Now a mysterious entity without physical form, Naenia is responsible for the corruption of many vampires, who would end up beyond saving if not for the book of Vanitas.
Naenia's strength lies in her manipulation of vampires' minds, as she uses their worst memories and regrets to coax them into giving up their true names, thus corrupting them.

Bungou Stray Dogs and The Case Study of Vanitas are similar because Dazai is a very similar character to Vanitas, and the art style, humor and overall feel of both anime are pretty similar.
Bungou Stray Dogs and Vanitas no Carte (the case study of Vanitas) are made by the same company BONES. They also have similar styles :)
Vanitas heavily reminds me of Dazai and the flashy supernatural fights are quite similar as well. I think people would enjoy both of these anime.
Both are a blend of action and comedy, featuring characters with supernatural abilities. Despite their lighthearted exterior, both shows feature a compelling plot and complex characters.
Bungo Stray Dogs and Vanitas no Carte are very similar in multiple aspects such as the style (since both are made by Bones), the comedy and the main characters (dazai and vanitas).
These main characters are so hot-headed that they can't seem to get along with anybody and are always having trifles among comrades. Their new sidequick is an innocent white-haired young man with superhuman strength who will show his fangs when his friends are in trouble. While they might be complaining and fighting all the time, they share the same objectives and have to fight against other factions who will try to get in the way of their noble objectives.
as other people have voted, i also agree that vanitas no carte and bungou stray dogs are fairly simmilar. Both involves mystery and their comedy sequences are very simmilar too as they are animated by the same animation studio(bones).
studio bones made both of these and they are both fruity af. i like both anime a lot and they both have good plots.
Similar characters Dazai and Vanitas have very similar character traits and personalities plus they're both solving cases(?) related to non humans so yeah if you like the mystery, crime, angst and narcissistic main characters, vanitas and Dazai are very similar. also Atushi and the other main character from Vanitas are similar imo because theyre both sensitive characters and the story revolves around them. Another good point yo note would be that they're both made from the same animation studio (Bones) so you can definitely expect similar character traits among the cast, Also the voice actors for Dazai and Vanitas but have a low calm and collected voice so they're very similar
In the late 19th century, the British Empire nobility reigns while its working class suffers at their hands. Sympathetic to their plight, William James Moriarty wants to topple it all. Frustrated by the systemic inequity, Moriarty strategizes to fix the entire nation. Not even consulting detective Sherlock Holmes can stand in his way. It's time for crime to revolutionize the world!

Both anime take place in Europe in the 19th century. Both anime have mystery. Moriarty the Patriot is more realistic while The Case Study of Vanitas is more supernatural.
Both shows are set in a historical Victorian setting, with a duo of male protagonists with amazing chemistry. One is more supernatural while the other is much more realistic, but both shows are very similar in the themes they touch on.
These two shows are both for people with the same type of brain damage (me). If you like one, you'll probably like the other.
These two animes focus similarly on justice over morals and how easily corrupted society can become. The intercharacter relationships are incredibly well-developed, as are the characters themselves. Beyond that, despite their differences, they have almost identical feelings to them. Also, if you like something where the protagonist is morally gray at best, these shows are for you.
In Victorian England it is commonplace for the rich and wealthy to have a staff, led by a head butler, to run their households; the Phantomhive Estate is no different. The young and demanding Count Ciel Phantomhive, child owner of a toy company, lives in the grand countryside manor. Sebastian is his head butler, and the epitome of perfection; he effortlessly and gracefully completes his day-to day chores and fixes the countless mistakes of the other employees. However, whilst on the outside all seems prim and proper, a more sinister secret lies just beneath the surface. Sebastian is in fact a demon bound by a contract with the young count; he will loyally serve and fight for him in return for his soul.

These two animes are both taking place in the renaiin renaissance-time-period and both present supernatural qualities, have goals, and a strong duo.
Black Butler and The Case Study of Vanitas are pretty similar anime. Both anime have a similar art style and setting. Both have a slightly similar premise, involving one human and one supernatural being working together to deal with supernatural creatures. The humor is very similar in both anime as well.
Very similar in a lot of ways, but this is like the vampire version.:))))))))))))))))))))))$)$$$)))))))))))))))))))))) they're also hot
They're both mystery anime that take place in Europe in the 19th century. Both of them have attractive characters and gay tension.

Even on surface level these shows have very simiar vibes. Set in an older era, fancy clothing, humerous one second and heart wrenching the next. Both of these shows are very centered around grief, loss, revenge, and new beginnings. To anyone who is looking for something to keep you on your toes, either of these shows will fill the hole that the other left.

On the eve of nobleman Oz Bezarius's fifteenth birthday, he and his loved ones gather to celebrate in a coming-of-age ceremony. But after Oz steps under a long-stopped clock and the hands finally move once more - thus fulfilling a mysterious prophecy - he is violently thrown into the legendary prison known as the Abyss by three cloaked intruders. Existing in another dimension, the Abyss is home to lifeforms born within its walls known as Chains; these beings can only live in the real world if they make contracts with humans, binding their power to the person's body. However, there's a catch - in time, the human will be overcome by the Chain's power and then thrown into the deepest level of the Abyss. When Oz wakes up in the Abyss he is quickly attacked by hungry Chains, only to be saved by one named Alice - a Chain who appeared just before he was thrown into the prison. Together, the two make a contract and return to the real world, where they are enlisted into the Pandora organization - a group researching both the Abyss and the trio that threw Oz into it. Along with members of Pandora, the duo searches to find Alice's lost memory fragments that are scattered throughout the world, to discover the secrets of the Abyss, and to determine if there's a way their contract can be broken without killing either Oz or Alice.
Both Pandora Hearts and The Case Study of Vanitas are anime created by Jun Mochizuki, and both have a very similar atmosphere and vibe. Several of the characters and the music are both similar as well. If you liked Pandora Hearts , check out The Case Study of Vanitas as soon as you can.

Midnightgirl99999 says....
Servamp is a lot like the case study of Vanitas in many ways, Servamp also is set in a vampire universe, it is about a relationship between a human and vampire, it explores differences and connections between humans and vampires, and is just a lot like the case study of Vanitas. If you've just finished watching it, I would highly reccomend you'd give this a try!
