Creative writing. All meetings are held on Tuesday mornings, 10 am to midday. We have FOUR linked creative writing groups. Group 1 meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month at Paganhill. Over two consecutive mornings during half term at Stroud Valleys Artspace, we are inviting young writers of any level and interested in any genre to be part of a co creative space where you can develop your creative writing in a peer group. Creative writing games and exercises covering storytelling to poetry and spoken word will be on offer.
The Delights of Creative Writing
Robert from Stroud u3a talks about the joy he gets from his u3a creative writing group. I am never happier than when I'm the company of fellow u3a Creative Writers, on screen or in person, so I viewed the interruption of our usual meetings, by the Covid-19 pandemic, with considerable alarm but members rose to the challenge and we have not only maintained interest but attracted more writers.

Monthly on Monday afternoons 2:00pm-4:00pm. Second Monday in Month. All of our groups are "for our members by our members" and we therefore hope that members will share the workload of co-ordinating their Group activities. All Groups have one or more Coordinators and need at least one contact person to talk to potential new members.

During Creative Writing Circle meetings, students come together to write creatively and to share their works in progress for feedback. All student writers are welcome to participate! Genres explored include (but are not limited to!) fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. Meetings are 4 - 5:30 p.m. every Friday, on the second floor of the Library.

The MFA experience culminates with each student writing and defending a creative thesis. For prose writers, theses are 100 pages of creative work; for poets, 48 pages.
