Elisabeth II is a queen of the UK. She was born on the 21st of April 1926. She has got 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Her full name is Elisabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor.
She became a queen in 1952.

Prince Philip Mountbatten was born on the 10th of June 1921. His title is the Duke of Edinburgh. He married Elizabeth on 20 November 1947
Prince Charles,The Prince of Wales His full name is Charles Philip Arthur George, he is the eldest son of the Queen. He was born on the 14th of November 1948.
He was married twice. His first wife was lady Diana Spencer (Princess Diana). They married in 1981 and had two sons. But they divorced in 1996. Princess Diana was loved by all the British, but she tragically died in a car crash in Paris in 1997.
Prince Charles’ second wife is Camilla Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall, they married in 2005.
Princess Diana and Prince Charles had two sons. The oldest is Prince William ( born 1982) and Prince Harry (born 1984)
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge Prince William, ( born 21 June 1982), is second in the line of succession, behind his father. Prince William married his longtime girlfriend, Catherine Middleton, on 29 April 2011.

Here are two PowerPoint Presentations about the ‘British Royal Family’.
One is an Introduction to the Royal Family and the other is a reading lesson encouraging ‘finding information’ ‘inferring’ and ‘opinions’ ‘using their own judgements’ about the Royal Family. It is a simple ‘guided reading’ lesson.
I used these PowerPoints with my Year 5 class and they really enjoyed it.
I will be updating this file as and when i teach the lessons.
