The word 'Pollution' may be defined as undesirable changes in the physical, chemical or biological characteristics of air, water, and land. These are very harmful to human life. The agents that pollute our environment are said as 'pollutants' and they are of different kinds. They may be natural or man-made. 

Air pollution is one of the major ecological problems, we are facing today. It is the most dangerous form of pollution because we cannot control the air we breathe. Many automobiles use adulterated diesel and leaded petrol. Nuclear explosions and nuclear tests are responsible for the addition of radioactive pollutants. 

Air pollution is also responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer, which leads to skin cancer. Damages to vegetation, injury to animals, undesirable changes in climate are also causes of Air pollution. 

Air pollution can be controlled in two ways — by separating pollutants from harmless gases and by converting the pollutants to innocuous products before their release into the atmosphere. Land pollution is very harmful. It is mainly caused due to the negligence and carelessness of people. 

We throw the garbage here and there on the roads, which is scattered by cows or street dogs. This makes the atmosphere dirty and causes many diseases. To prevent it, we should use dustbins and never use polythene bags. If these bags are eaten by animals, they can cause them death also. The third main pollution is noise pollution. 

We are responsible for this because we use loudspeakers at public places like mosques or temples. The strong-blowing horns of vehicles also cause this harm to us. This can make us deaf. This is harmful to heart patients To prevent it, always play music or televisions, etc. on low volume. This will be a habit eventually. 

Water pollution is very harmful because it brings about physical and chemical changes that make all kinds of water resources dirty. Their water becomes unfit for drinking and harmful to aquatic life. Waste from factories is thrown in water bodies. 

Soil pollution is another extremely complicated process. It may have been due to dumping and disposal of water application of agrochemicals in the soil. In this way, pollution is very harmful not only for human life but also for plant life and animal life also.

The problem of 'Pollution' is threatening the environment of the entire nation. Not only our country but other countries of the world, too, are facing the same problem these days. Everything on the earth has become polluted. The air is polluted, the food is polluted, water is polluted and the whole earth is polluted. There is "Pollution, Pollution, everywhere." 

The main cause of this pollution is the "work of man against the laws of nature". Whenever we do things against the laws of nature, an imbalance occurs in the environment. If we add chemicals to the food, the food becomes polluted, if the smoke of the industries mingles with the air, the air becomes polluted, in case the waste materials are dumped into the rivers, the water becomes polluted. If we do anything against the laws of nature, the environment gets polluted. 

Besides food, water, and air pollution, we are also facing the problem of noise pollution, these days. The cars, scooters, buses and other means of transport produce deafening noises, which are the main causes of "noise pollution". Noise pollution can cause heart attacks, insanity of the mind, and various asthmatic problems. 

We must keep in mind the following considerations to check "pollution"; 

(a) We should set up the industries away from residential colonies, to save people from air pollution. 

(b) The employees working in the industries or industrial areas should be taught "Yogas" and other exercises in their restrooms. There should be a gym in the industries, where they can do exercises to keep themselves fit. 

(c) The food available on the office premises must be hygienic. It should contain raw fruits and little grilled vegetables. 

(d) The owners of the industries should not dump the waste materials on the surface of the water. The garbage is burnt to ashes as soon as possible. 

(e) scientists should invent new methods to control noise pollution. They should find out new ways to control the deafening noise of the vehicles. 

(f) The trees and plants should not be cut. Instead, we should grow more and more trees to purify the air. The trees take carbon dioxide and release oxygen. They are very beneficial for the purification of the air. 

(g) The industrial owners should scrutinize their machines thoroughly, every month. Any leakage of the gas can cause grave harm to the living being. The Bhopal Gas Tragedy was the outcome of the negligence of owners in the maintenance of machines.

(h) The people must drink filtered water to keep themselves healthy. 

(i) Last but not least, everyone in the country should be imparted education about the various ways to check the environmental pollution. 

These simple solutions can solve the complicated problem of pollution, if they are implied in practice, by the Govt. and the people of our nation.

Factories that have already been built cannot be removed, but the factories which the government should build should be built away from the city. Such traffic tools should be used to reduce smoke and help prevent air pollution. The felling of trees and forests should be banned.

The water of the rivers should be saved from waste and the water should be made potable with the help of recycling. Plastic bags should be used less and those that can be recycled should be used more. Laws must be followed to eliminate pollution.

Environmental degradation is real and presents threats to all living habitat on earth. Thus, the inclusion of environmental issues for a language class is close to a must. This paper is intended to describe 1) the students’ perspective on using environmental topics for essay writing class, and 2) their problems when writing essay. The study uses a case study design. There were 17 students participated in the research. The instruments were interview and chat documentations. The data were collected in June 2021. All data are in the form of words and sentences. In addition to its disastrous results that extend for many years, it contributes to crystallize the life of man, animal, and plant. It’s quite apparent that living organisms can’t live by themselves, and for that, all living organisms inclusive of plants, human beings, animals, among other physical surroundings with whom we interact with make up the general environment.

All these constitutes of the environment depend on each other, and for that, they maintain a balance in nature. Affirmatively, these dependent relationship calls for the creation of controls to manage environmental imbalances and which highly result to pollutions.

Ideally, environmental pollution can be viewed as the undesirable change in the biological, physical as well as chemical characteristics of water, air, and land on the overall.
