ଏହି ବର୍ଷ ଦେଶର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତାକୁ 76 ବର୍ଷ ପୂରଣ ହେଉଛି । ସମଗ୍ର ଦେଶ 77 ତମ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସ ପାଳନ କରିବ । ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ପରି ଏହି ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟ ଭାରତ ନିଜର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସକୁ 15 ଅଗଷ୍ଟରେ ଗର୍ବର ସହ ପାଳନ କରିବ । ଏହି ଦିନ ହିଁ ଆମ ଦେଶ ବର୍ଷ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ଦାସତ୍ୱ ପରେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପାଇଥିଲା । ଆମେ ସମସ୍ତେ ଏହି ଦିନ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ବିଷୟରେ ଆମର ଭାବନା ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହାଁନ୍ତି । ସ୍କୁଲ୍, କଲେଜ, କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ ଏବଂ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନରେ ଏହି ପବିତ୍ର ଦିନକୁ ବେଶ୍ ଉତ୍ସାହର ସହ ପାଳନ କରିବା ସହ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ଭାରତୀୟ ଭାବେ ଗର୍ବ ଅନୁଭବ କରନ୍ତି । ଏହି ଦିନ ହିଁ ଆମ ଦେଶର ମହାନ୍ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀଙ୍କ ସଂଘର୍ଷ ଓ ତ୍ୟାଗ ଆମକୁ ଦେଶ ମାତୃକା ପ୍ରତି ଆମର କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିଥାଏ । ତେବେ ଆମେ ପିଲାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଲେଖୁଛୁ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସ ଉପଲକ୍ଷେ ଭାଷଣ । ଏହାକୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପିଲା ସ୍କୁଲ, କଲେଜରେ ବକ୍ତୃତା ଦେଇପାରିବେ ।

ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଅତିଥି, ପ୍ରଧାନ ଶିକ୍ଷକ, ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଏବଂ ମୋର ପ୍ରିୟ ବନ୍ଧୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୁଭ ସକାଳ । ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସର ଶୁଭେଚ୍ଛା ଜଣାଉଛି । ଆଜି ମୁଁ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସରେ କହିବାର ସୁଯୋଗ ପାଇଥିବାରୁ ମୁଁ ଗର୍ବିତ ଅନୁଭବ କରୁଛି ।

15 ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ଆମ ପାଇଁ ସବୁବେଳେ ଏକ ବିଶେଷ ଦିନ ଭାବେ ରହି ଆସିଛି । ଏହି ଦିନ ଆମେ ଦେଶର ସମସ୍ତ ଗୌରବକୁ ସ୍ମରଣ କରିଥାଉ । ଭାରତର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପାଇଁ ସଂଗ୍ରାମ କରିଥିବା ଭାରତୀୟ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀଙ୍କ ସଂଘର୍ଷ, ବଳିଦାନକୁ ମନେ ପକାଉ । ଭାରତର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସ କେବଳ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ ରାଜଙ୍କ ଶାସନରୁ ଭାରତର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତାକୁ ଚିହ୍ନିତ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ଏହା ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି ଦେଶର ଶକ୍ତିକୁ ଦର୍ଶାଏ । ଏହି ଦେଶର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏକତ୍ର କରି ଦେଶର ଶକ୍ତିକୁ ପ୍ରତିଦନ କରିଥାଏ ।

ବହୁ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ବ୍ରିଟିଶମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଦାସତ୍ୱ ଭୋଗିବା ପରେ ଆମ ଦେଶ 15 ଅଗଷ୍ଟ 1947 ରେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ହେଲା । ବ୍ରିଟିଶମାନଙ୍କ ଅତ୍ୟାଚାରର ଶିକାର ହେବା ପରେ ନିଜର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପାଇଁ ଦେଶର ଅନେକ ବୀର ଯୋଦ୍ଧା ବଳିଦାନ ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବଳିଦାନ ହିଁ ଆମକୁ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦେଇଛି । ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ଦେଶର ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ରାଜଧାନୀ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀରେ ଲାଲକିଲ୍ଲା ଠାରେ ଜାତୀୟ ପତାକା ଉତ୍ତୋଳନ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସେହି ସମସ୍ତ ଯୋଦ୍ଧାଙ୍କୁ ମନେ ପକାଇଛନ୍ତି ।

ଜାତିର ପିତା ମହାତ୍ମା ଗାନ୍ଧୀ, ସୁବାଷ ବୋଷ, ସର୍ଦ୍ଦାର ବଲ୍ଲବ ଭାଇ ପଟେଲ, ଜବାହାରଲାଲା ନେହେରୁ, ଲାଲା ଲଜପତ ରାୟ, ବାଲ ଗଙ୍ଗାଧର ତିଲକ, ବାପିନ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ପାଲ ଏବଂ ଅନେକ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀଙ୍କ ଅଦ୍ୟମ ପ୍ରଚେଷ୍ଚା ଓ ତ୍ୟାଗ ବଳରେ ଆମ ଭାରତ ଇରେଜ କବଳରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ହୋଇଥିଲା ।

ଏହା ପରେ ଦେଶ ସମସ୍ତ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଦିନକୁ ଦିନ ଆଗକୁ ବଢି ଚାଲିଛି । ଆଜି ସାରା ବିଶ୍ୱରେ ସୁପର ପାୱାର ହେବାକୁ ଯାଉଛି । ଭାରତର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତାର ଚାରି ବର୍ଷ ପୂରଣ ହେବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ, ଆମେ ନିଜର ସମ୍ବିଧାନର ପ୍ରଚଳନ କରି ଏହାକୁ ଏକ ଗଣତନ୍ତ୍ର କରି ଦେଶକୁ ମଜବୁତ କରିଥିଲୁ, ଯାହା ଆଗରେ ସମଗ୍ର ବିଶ୍ୱ ଆଜି ନତମସ୍ତକ । ଆମର ଏହି ବହୁ ବିବିଧତାର ଦେଶ, ଏବଂ ଆମର ଏକତା ଆମକୁ ଏକ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ପରିଣତ କରେ । ଟେକ୍ନୋଲୋଜି ଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି କୃଷି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ, ଆମେ ଦୁନିଆର ଏକ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଦେଶ ପାଲଟିଛୁ । କେବେ ପଛକୁ ଫେରି ଦେଖିନାହୁଁ ।

ଆଜି, ଯେହେତୁ ଆମେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ଦିବସରେ ଆମ ଦେଶର ସମସ୍ତ ସଫଳତାକୁ ମନେ ପକାଉ, ଆସନ୍ତୁ ଆମର ବୀର ଯବାନ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଭୁଲିଯିବା ନାହିଁ । ଆମର ସାହସୀ ସୈନିକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧନ୍ୟବାଦ ଯେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ହେତୁ ଆମେ ଆମ ଦେଶରେ ଶାନ୍ତିରେ ରହି ପାରୁଛୁ । ଶତ୍ରୁ ଆଗରେ ନିଜର ବୀରତ୍ୱ ଦେଖାଇ ଦେଶକୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷିତ ରଖିଛନ୍ତି । ସେହିପରି ଆମେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଆମ ଦେଶକୁ ମହାନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଜଣେ ସଚ୍ଚୋଟ ନାଗରିକ ଭାବରେ ଆମର କର୍ତ୍ତବ୍ୟ ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ ଆଜି ପ୍ରତିଶୃତି ନେବା ।

Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we will redeem our pledge, not wholly or in full measure, but very substantially. At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. We end today a period of ill fortune, and India discovers herself again.

It was a speech by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, to the Indian Constituent Assembly in the Parliament House, on the eve of India’s Independence. The speech spoke on the aspects that transcended Indian history.

On August 15, 1947, India gained its independence. After a hard struggle, we were freed from the British Raj. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our nation’s first prime minister, unfurled the national flag at the Red Fort for the first time on this day at the stroke of midnight. It signalled the end of the British Empire’s 200-year rule over India. We currently live in a free and independent country.

The main event takes place in New Delhi with a grand parade by all states’ tableaus, Air Force, Army, and Navy drills. The main flag hoisting ceremony takes place in Red Fort by the Prime Minister of India and then a speech regarding our country’s past, present, and future. This program is telecasted on National television live from Delhi.

The Indian people honour the heroic efforts and unmatched contributions of great men and women who helped India attain its independence on this day. Everyone in the nation pays reverent homage to leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel, Bhagat Singh, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad.

After a 200-year struggle, India finally gained its independence. On August 15, 1947, India acquired full independence from the British. Because of this, every Indian citizen, whether they reside in India or overseas, attaches importance to this day. This day also serves as a reminder of the struggles won by freedom fighters and the victims who gave their lives for the cause of independence.

The struggle that our freedom fighters endured demonstrates to us that hundreds of people’s lives were sacrificed in order to achieve the freedom we take for granted today. Each Indian is sparked by it to feel patriotic. It helps the current generation comprehend the struggles of those who live nearby and familiarises them with India’s liberation fighters.

Since we were liberated from British domination on this day, Independence Day is a historic occasion that is favorable for the nation. It brings together a wide range of people nationwide. India’s essential path and strength is its variety within its unity. We are grateful to live in a democracy and the largest majority-rule nation on the planet.
