PhD in Astrology About

Astrology is often associated with the belief that the alignment and position of celestial bodies can influence human affairs and personality traits. However, there is no scientific evidence to support these claims, and studies that have attempted to test astrology's predictive ability have failed to demonstrate any statistical significance.

Therefore, it is highly unlikely that an accredited academic institution would offer a PhD program in astrology. While there may be some institutions that offer degrees in astrology or related fields, these are typically not recognized as legitimate academic programs.

If you are interested in pursuing advanced studies in a scientific field related to astronomy, such as astrophysics, cosmology, or planetary science, there are many reputable PhD programs available at universities around the world.

Overview of Astrology

Astrology is an ancient discipline that has fascinated humanity for centuries. It is the study of the movements and positions of celestial bodies and their influence on human behavior and events. The origins of astrology can be traced back to ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece, where it was practiced as a means of understanding the natural world and predicting future outcomes.

History and origins of astrology: The practice of astrology dates back thousands of years, with evidence of its existence in various cultures throughout history. The ancient Mesopotamians were among the first to develop a complex system of astrology, using it to predict celestial events and their impact on earthly affairs. The Egyptians also relied heavily on astrology, associating specific gods and goddesses with astronomical phenomena. In ancient Greece, astrology was intertwined with philosophy, with famous thinkers such as Plato and Aristotle delving into its principles.

Basic principles and concepts in astrology: Astrology operates on the belief that the positions of celestial bodies at the time of a person’s birth can provide valuable insights into their personality traits, relationships, and potential life events. The zodiac, which is divided into twelve signs, represents different personality archetypes and characteristics. Each sign is associated with specific elements (fire, earth, air, and water) and ruling planets, further influencing an individual’s astrological profile.

Different branches of astrology: Astrology encompasses various branches that cater to different aspects of life. Natal astrology focuses on birth charts and individual horoscopes, providing insights into a person’s personality and life path. Mundane astrology examines the influence of celestial bodies on world events, such as political developments or natural disasters. Horary astrology deals with specific questions and situations, providing answers based on planetary alignments at the time of inquiry. Medical astrology explores the connection between celestial bodies and health, offering insights into potential ailments and remedies.

Criticisms and Controversies

Astrology, despite its long-standing history and widespread popularity, faces significant skepticism and controversies. Critics often challenge astrology’s scientific validity, legitimacy, and accuracy. Moreover, ethical concerns surrounding the practice of astrology have raised questions about its credibility and impact. This section delves into these criticisms and controversies, shedding light on the debates surrounding astrology.

A. Skepticism towards astrology as a science

One of the primary criticisms against astrology is its lack of scientific basis. Skeptics argue that astrology relies on subjective interpretations and lacks empirical evidence to support its claims. They contend that astrological predictions are often vague and open to multiple interpretations, making it difficult to validate their accuracy scientifically. Additionally, critics question the foundations of astrology, as it is based on the assumption that celestial bodies can influence human behavior and personality. Skeptics argue that there is no concrete evidence to support this correlation.

Despite these criticisms, proponents of astrology argue that it is a complex system of knowledge that requires a deeper understanding and exploration. They highlight that astrology has its own set of principles, methodologies, and predictive techniques that have been developed and refined over centuries. While astrology may not align with traditional scientific paradigms, its proponents argue that it offers valuable insights into human behavior and personal growth.

It is important to note that skepticism towards astrology as a science does not necessarily negate its relevance or value in people’s lives. Many individuals find comfort, guidance, and meaning in astrology’s symbolic language and interpretations.

B. Debates on the legitimacy and accuracy of astrological predictions

The legitimacy and accuracy of astrological predictions have been subject to ongoing debates. Critics argue that astrologers make general statements that can apply to anyone, known as the “Barnum effect” or “Forer effect.” They claim that people tend to perceive astrology as accurate because they selectively interpret vague statements to match their own experiences. Critics also point out that horoscopes and astrological predictions often lack consistency and fail to provide precise and verifiable information.

In contrast, astrologers defend the legitimacy of their predictions, highlighting the importance of individual birth charts and the complexities of astrological interpretations. They argue that astrological predictions are not meant to be deterministic but rather offer insights and possibilities. They emphasize that astrology is a tool for self-reflection and personal growth, rather than a means of predicting specific events.

Criticism Counterargument
Astrology lacks scientific validity and empirical evidence. Astrology offers valuable insights and has its own principles and methodologies.
Astrological predictions are vague and can apply to anyone. Astrological interpretations require a deeper understanding and consideration of individual birth charts.

Addressing ethical concerns in the practice of astrology

Ethical concerns have also been raised regarding the practice of astrology. Skeptics argue that astrologers may exploit vulnerable individuals by making false promises or providing misleading information. Critics question the responsibility of astrologers in providing guidance and advice based on astrological interpretations. Additionally, some argue that astrology’s emphasis on fate and determinism can be disempowering and limit personal agency.

In response to these concerns, reputable astrologers emphasize the importance of ethical practices, including honesty, integrity, and informed consent. They encourage individuals seeking astrological guidance to approach it as a tool for self-reflection rather than absolute truth. Ethical astrologers recognize the limitations of astrology and promote personal empowerment and self-awareness.

It is crucial for consumers of astrological services to exercise discernment and seek guidance from reputable professionals who prioritize ethical standards and client well-being.

You wanted to know that, whether you will be able to complete your Ph.D. Or not. Let’s start judging from the Rashi Chart itself, then I will judge the Divisional Chart accordingly for deeper understanding.

In Astrology 9 th house and its lord in the horoscope represent higher studies of any kind and research is also part of that. In some cases, the 8 th house also plays an important role. 5 th house is also very important to complete any high-level research or study because this house is responsible for developing our power of judgment, and our intelligence.

This house makes us ready to think deeper and make the right decision. In your Rashi or Natal Chart, the ninth house is Sagittarius and the lord is Jupiter. This Jupiter is sitting with 10 th – 11 th Lord Saturn and Rahu in 5 th house. Here Saturn and Jupiter have formed a “Rajyoga” which is a very good sign because this “Rajyoga” is the strongest Yoga in Astrology, which is the yoga of 9 th & 10 th lord, so you will get the advantage of this yoga throughout your whole life.

The starting date of functioning that yoga could be a particular Dasa but once it starts it won’t stop. It will keep giving you good results accordingly. But, here is a problem, the problem is “Rahu” itself. According to the astrological rule if any malefic has a bad influence on any “raj yoga” so the yoga loses its power. In your Rashi Chart Rahu is influencing the “Rajyoga”.

Here you will get mixed results, the “Rajyoga” will not lose its power completely, try to understand why – Rahu is a malefic planet, so according to the rule, it will give some malefic effect according to its nature & will give obstacles. But, Rahu is in Leo and in this Rashi Rahu always gives good results. So, in conclusion – you will be able to finish your Ph.D. But you will face some problems and will not be able to get the expected marks – result or outcome.

Now you are thinking why health problems? Because Rahu is in 5 th house. From 5 th Rahu is aspecting 1 st house which is called “Lagna” – means your health, which also represents your own self. Rahu is called the planet of smoke. It creates confusion, trouble, uncertainty, etc. what it is creating at present too. Do not worry there is a solution for it. Do you know there is another reason why it is happening to you right now? That is – according to the “Vimsottori Dasa” system now you are running Venus Mahadasa and Rahu Antardasa and this Antar Dasa will be there till 05/10/2016. You are intelligent so, I believe you understand what I want to mean.

Now let’s see what your Divisional Chart is saying. In the case of Education, I need to judge D-24 or “Siddhamsa”. This chart is also called “the chart of education”. Rashi chart is the physical chart from where we get some apparent indications but divisional charts are like “x-ray plates” – they guide us on what exactly the scenario is and what could be the possible result.

In D-24 your Lagna is also Aries, so the 9 th lord is Jupiter again. As your Lagna In Rashi chart or D-1 and D-24 are the same, so the lagna has enough power to complete the desired education level. Apart from this – 9 th lord Jupiter is in 11 th house which is “Upachaya”. In any “upachaya” house a planet becomes strong enough to give the result. Here Jupiter will give a good result. The indication of the problem that you are facing right now is there in D-24 also. The dasa lord Venus is with Antar Dasa lord Rahu, interviewed by Malefic planets Mars and Saturn. Moon is also afflicted by Rahu. This combination has made you mentally and physically restless.

In conclusion, I want to say the same as I have already mentioned, that – do not worry at all, you will face some problems, what you are already facing also, but you will be able to complete your Ph.D.

If I Summerise:

Rashi Chart Analysis:

  • Aries Ascendant (Lagna) and Pisces Sign at birth.
  • The 9th house and its lord represent higher studies and research.
  • 5th house is vital for deep thinking and judgment.
  • In the Rashi Chart, the 9th house (Sagittarius) lord is Jupiter.
  • Jupiter in the 5th house with 10th-11th lord Saturn and Rahu forms “Rajyoga”.
  • Rahu’s malefic influence challenges the power of the “Rajyoga”.
  • Rahu in Leo, is generally favorable but still may cause obstacles.
  • You’ll likely complete your Ph.D. but face issues and not achieve the expected marks.

Health and Planetary Influences:

  • Rahu in the 5th house affects health (1st house/Lagna) due to aspect.
  • Rahu’s nature causes confusion, trouble, and uncertainty.
  • Current period: Venus Mahadasa and Rahu Antardasa until 05/10/2016.
  • Venus-Rahu combination influences current challenges.

Divisional Chart (D-24) Analysis:

  • D-24 or “Siddhamsa” is the chart of education.
  • D-24 Lagna is Aries, 9th lord is Jupiter.
  • Lagna in both Rashi Chart and D-24 strengthens education.
  • Jupiter in 11th house (“Upachaya”) indicates favorable results.
  • Issues reflected in D-24: Venus (dasa lord) with Rahu, malefics’ influence.
  • Moon also afflicted by Rahu, causing mental and physical restlessness.

Conclusion:

  • Despite challenges, you’ll complete your Ph.D.
  • Mixed results due to Rahu’s influence on the “Rajyoga”.
  • Health issues attributed to Rahu’s placement and current planetary period.
  • D-24 reinforces the potential for completing education.
  • Challenges depicted in D-24 chart as well.
  • Overall message: Don’t worry, you’ll face problems but still complete your Ph.D.

Hi Sir. My time of birth is 22.20, place of birth is Ghatkopar, Mumbai and date of birth is 19/11/1990. I have completed my Masters in Mechanical Engg. with research work in Acoustics from IIT Madras and have almost 3 years of experience in same domain in Mahindra. Even after having a competitive profile, some or the other issues popped up and hence could not make it last year. I would be grateful to you if you can kindly let me know whether things will go in my favor this year or so. I am trying planning to pursue a PhD from a top foreign university. I would also like to know whether or not I will make it count by my research work. With my personal and family interests, I have aim to someday serve my country and it nationmen hence kindly detail about future prospects after PhD and will it help me and my country in long run. Sorry Sir for long message but I am really down at this time and would like to know more hence detailed out everything. Thanks you in advance.

Dear Nitesh, Do not need to feel sorry at all. You have elaborated your question, I appreciate it, and hence you are getting bit quick reply than others. I can see from your horoscope or birth chart that you have very high sense of order and values. You are very trustworthy person, and also do not love to stay within limitations, rather always try to go beyond your limitations, you do not like to put anything aside before finishing it. Right now you are going through Venus mahadasa and Ketu antardasa. This period is not favorable for research or phd related work for you according to vedic astrology principle. After mid of august 2019 you definitely can go ahead with your research work or related education. Always remember, in this world everything has its own time to happen. We need to wait for that right time to get the best result. Your next dasa (time period) planet is Sun and is placed in 5th house of ‘followers and recognition’ in your rashi chart or D-1 and 10th house lord Mars is aspecting from 11th house of ‘success’. This Sun is in ‘Uttarshara’ nakshatra which is the nakshatra of Saturn. In your chart Saturn is the 7th and 8th house lord and is sitting in 6th house (the house of obstacles and struggle for a short period of time). As dusthana lord Saturn has got a placement in a dusthana (6th, 8th, 12th) house so it has become a ‘Veeprit raj yoga’, some astrologers do not count nakshatra lord’s yogas but in my long years of practical day to day experience I have seen that they also give result. This 8th house related yoga will help you to successfully complete your PHD or research work, but with some struggle and time delay. The journey will not be easy for you. You will face unnecessary obstacles, even in between the course you may seem to give up all hope of completing the Phd. But after a certain period of time suddenly everything will change and you will reach your goal. You only need to have patience during the struggle period. As this is a free consultation I say this much only. If you need more clarification you can contact me anytime…

Thank you Sir for your time and clarification. Your inputs will help me in long run and prepare myself to face the upcoming challenges with a SMILE 🙂

Hai sir, I am also trying got PhD. I also wish to know whether I will join and complete PhD. My DOB:22/10/1993, birth time: 6:15am, Birth place: India, Kerala,Kottayam. I would expect a reply sir. Thank you.

Dear Sir, can you pls tell me whether I can pursue my Phd or not? If possible, I wanna know the year of pursing tthe Phd . I would be grateful if you can suggest me something. My dob: 01/071992, time: 4:40pm, place: India, Jamshedpur.

Dear sir since 8 years am trying to phd .but am not getting. Pls tell me whether will go do in my life or not? I would be very grateful Thank you my dob: March 4th 1986 time morning 8 am
