My last birthday was the most memorable birthday till date. It was 18 th August 2013, when I was going to be 19 years old.

That was a very special day as it was my birthday. I woke up early at 6:30 am because my family sang a special song for me & they gave me some gifts. Also I was hugged by all of them.

We do it for every member of our house. Then my cousins Sheena & Arun arrived to my house to surprise me. Their presence made my day more special because it was my first birthday when my cousins managed to come and wish me early in the morning. They gifted me a big box full of chocolates & CD of my favourite singer.

All of us had breakfast together. Mom made my favourite breakfast called “upma” because it was my birthday. Dad bought a big cake for me. I cut the cake. Then I started receiving calls from relatives and friends. They made me realize that now I am a big girl.

I am 18 years old now. I can drive, vote etc. It made my day more exciting. Suddenly I realized that Henna my best friend forgot to wish me on my birthday. It made me sad. But I decided not to remind her let’s see when she calls up.

At 6 pm I was out with my family to celebrate the occasion. I received a message on my mobile. That was Heena. Finally she wished me and told me that she has a surprise for me on my birthday. I told her that I thought that she has forgotten to wish me on my birthday. She said that she knew it was my birthday but she was busy planning the surprise. Henna wanted me to come to her house. She told me that she is going to pick me up at 8:30 pm. I asked my parents. They said ok. Henna came after 1 and ½ hour to pick me up in a beautiful car. When I reached her house she opened the door. As soon as we entered all my friends were inside with many ballons, flowers.

They all shouted loud in a chorus- “Happy Birthday Vere”. All hugged me one by one and gave me gifts and roses. Then all of them sang my favorite song. I cut the cake which they bought. We danced, had food that Heena arranged for all of us and enjoyed a lot. I can never forget that birthday because it was the best birthday of my life and my friends and family made me realized that I am a big girl of 18 now.

It has become strenuous to relish family and social life in this hard-pressed life, despite investing best efforts. Still, whatever time I can spare, I ensure that I make the most out of it by connecting with people. So, lately, I attended a school friend’s birthday party.

It was more of a reunion than merely a birthday party if I put it realistically. In fact, I had received a little note from the birthday boy, describing how everybody in our group decided upon meeting on his birthday. So, accordingly, there had to be ten people. However, the number changed to 15 as some of the acquaintances also joined.

So, this birthday party was organized at the residence of another friend who lives in a colossal house with his family. The atmosphere at the party was friendly, warm, and emotional. A lot of snacks and drinks were arranged according to everybody’s choices and preferences. One of the best things about this party was that the birthday boy had a surprise for us. He had picked out pictures from our school days, created a slideshow out of it, and played it on a large screen. And then, he gave a full 30-minute-long speech, reminiscing all the good old days. All in all, the party was a blast, and we ended it on a good note with a scrumptious dinner.

I have attended so many birthday parties, but the one I remember the best is my grandfather’s birthday when he turned 80 . That celebration is one of the best memories I can keep about him.

To people in our country, 80 years old is a special milestone in everyone’s life as the old people are respected for their experience and wisdom . Thus, in the 80 th birthday celebration, people often hold a big and extremely memorable party, inviting a lot of people to attend. Among the invitees , there were a lot of our relatives, neighbors, friends, and local authorities.

My grandfather’s 80 th birthday celebration took place at a convention near his house. It was such a quality time for my whole family and all our beloved relatives and friends to sit together. Everyone tried to choose a special gift for my grandpa. I was a little bit astonished when I saw the number of gifts my grandpa received, which meant how much my grandpa was loved. People also sent greetings to him, which are mostly about health. Then, people enjoyed the party with delicious and well-prepared food.

However, the most lovely part of the celebration was the time after the party. When all of the invitees had left, our family gathered together and took a trip down memory lane . It reminded me of the good old days when I was knee-high to a grasshopper and still a little stubborn girl who always got into trouble . No matter how big a problem I got into, I could always ask my grandpa for helps or advice as he would never turn his back on me.

Time flies so fast, but the memory still lasts. Grandpa and his 80 th birthday celebration would definitely be one of my sweetest memories.

My Birthday Celebration

Just like everyone else, I also look forward to my birthday every year. It happens on 9 th March which makes March a special month for me. Ever since my childhood, my parents have a birthday tradition.

Every year, we go to have ice cream late at night to mark the beginning of my birthday. It is a very small thing but it means a lot to me. So far, we have never missed doing this together and I hope we can continue it forever.

On my birthday, I usually throw a birthday party inviting all my close friends. It is a fun-filled day where all my friends partake in exciting activities. My mother makes my favourite dish which I enjoy eating on my birthday.

Every year, the 9th of March is the most awaited day for me. This is because it is my birth date. I am a specifically treated person this day. All my friends and loved ones start to wish me from midnight. Some of them text me from their phones and others call me.

My parents love me more intensely to this day. They treat me like I am a newborn baby. I feel myself to be grateful to God for blessing me with all these people. According to myself, a birthday party is an enjoyable event in one’s life.

Schedule Of The Day

I and my family begin preparation for the birthday celebration right in the morning. My father takes me to the market for shopping new birthday clothes. My mother cooks a lot of delicious dishes for me and my friends. My siblings decorate the birthday area. The full birthday room is decorated with different lighting, a lot of balloons, Photo frames etc.

When I feel that all this is being done for me, I feel very special and thankful to God. In the evening, my father carries the special birthday cake with my name inscribed on it. I do not get tired all day long.

The Birthday Celebration

Some people wouldn’t really define it as a party, because I didn’t have lots of guests and I didn’t play party games. It was my first week at university, and to celebrate my birthday, my friends wished me at 12 AM and gave me plenty of hugs. We decided to watch a movie of my choice, so I chose a horror movie. We ate lots of food, chatted and listened to music, which made for a nice, small party.

Later in the day, I went to see my family, who surprised me with the prettiest birthday cake I’d ever seen. The edge of the cake was completely made of Kit Kat’s, and the top was sprinkled with M&Ms. I blew the candles, cut the cake and cheered as I opened birthday presents. I played around with my younger siblings and watched a movie with them.

I think the reason this birthday party of sorts is memorable for me is because it was my first week in a new place. I was very frightened and nervous, but spending time with friends and family because of my birthday helped me feel more comfortable.

I was born on 24th January, eleven years ago. For me, it is the day when I am made to feel very important. I am busy sending invitation cards, arranging games and decorating the drawing room, on my birthday. I have left certain things entirely to my sister. For example, it is for her to decorate the cards and write addresses in a very beautiful handwriting. She also invites her friends to join the party. My father has a very different notion about the celebration of my birthday. Last year, he had taken me to an orphanage and had made me contribute money to their welfare fund. This year, he intends to take me to the school for the blind.

My friends start arriving around 5 p.m. I welcome each one of them with warmth and make them sit comfortably in the drawing room that is beautifully decorated. They bring gifts for me, nicely packed in coloured wrappers. My uncle who lives abroad sends me a nice set of pens or a pair of nice jeans. This year again, I hope to get something wonderful from him.

When all the friends have come, my mother brings the cake to the drawing-room. The candles are lit on it. The gifts are piled up in one corner and we all get ready to play the games. Every game seems to be full of fun. They all roar with laughter.

The lengthening shadows of the evening remind us that we have to wind up. Those friends who come from far- off places, start taking leave. It is the turn of my father to drive me to a charity home, school for the disabled or a hospital in the city. He wants me to remember all those people as my brothers and sisters and help them in their hour of need. I always look forward to my birthday as I feel very happy and important on this day.

I have four friends which love each other so much and have lots of memories together. We celebrate our birthday very particular and enjoy it very much. I remember the last one. That was too hard for us to surprise my friend, because we have known each other since we were little children. Essay On My Sister Birthday Party

On 11th June, my younger sister Roxana celebrated her eighth birthday . We had decided to celebrate this special day in a different way. Just a few days back, she had stood first in her final examinations, so we wanted to give her a big surprise to make her feel special and happy.

I had called some of my best friends to help me with the occasion. Early in the morning, we cleaned up the house . We decorated our drawing room with yellow color silk curtains, streamers, colorful balloons, multi-colored ribbons, and artificial flowers. The room was looking beautiful and bright. We decorated a big table with balloons and placed them in the center of the room. Chairs were arranged around the table. My best friend Arnold had helped us a lot.

Invitations were sent to all our friends and relatives. The birthday party was to begin at 5 o’clock in the evening. From around 4.30 the guests began to arrive. My friends and I welcomed them and offered them chairs to sit. Before 5 o’clock almost all the guests had come. In all, we had invited thirty-nine guests. A big pineapple-flavored cake was placed on the table. Eight candles were stuck into the cake.

After all the guests had come, daddy and mummy brought my sister out from the bedroom. Roxana was dressed in a beautiful purple color silk frock. She was looking like a little princess. I lighted the candles and she blew them out. All the guests clapped and cheered her. As she cut the cake all clapped and sang for her, “Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to our dear Roxana, Happy Birthday to you.’

Roxana placed small pieces of cake in our mouths. On paper plates, she distributed pieces of the cake to all the guests. Arnold and I helped her in doing so. Then we all gave her gifts and presents. Guests wished and blessed her while giving the presents. Roxana was very happy with the arrangements and the gifts she had received from the guests.

My gift to her was her favorite walky-talky doll. Dad and mom gifted her a beautiful big pink teddy bear. Roxana was overjoyed to see our gifts. Refreshment was also arranged for the guests. Sweets and snakes were served to them. Orange and cola soft drinks followed soon. After the refreshments, the guests started leaving, wishing Roxana once again. The party got over. I felt very happy about the successful arrangements for my sister’s birthday party.
