The subject content for GCSE Drama is divided into three components:
- Understanding drama
- Devising drama
- Texts in practice
Guidance is also provided on the theatrical skills students will need to work on.
In the practical components students may specialise in performing, lighting, sound, set, costume and/or puppets.

GCSE 91 rama OCR 21 Commentary Section 1 - Research and developing ideas The candidate made some link to the stimulus. There was some research but it was not detailed and there was no evidence to indicate how the research was going to be used to inform the drama being created. There was a brief description of initial thoughts.
