PRC Room Assignments for May 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination

Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced the room assignments for the May 22-24, 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE) for testing locations in Manila/National Capital Region (NCR), Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao  and Zamboanga.

The licensure exams for Certified Public Accountant were administered by PRC and the Board of Accountancy headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice Chairman, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes, and its members, Gloria T. Baysa, Samuel B. Padilla, Arlyn Juanita S. Villanueva, Thelma S. Ciudadano and Gervacio I. Piator (inhibited).

CPALE Exam Coverage

Examination Attire

Male examinees are required to wear a white polo shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark) and decent pants or slacks.

For female examinees, white blouse or shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), decent skirt or slacks, and pony-tailed long hair.

What to bring?

Don’t forget the following on examination day:

• Notice of Admission (NOA)
• Official Receipt
• Two (2) or more pencils (No. 1 or No. 2)
• Ball pens with BLACK ink only
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Health forms
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine

Examinees are not allowed to bring books, notes, or similar items to the examination room. Electronic gadgets such as Apple and Samsung products are not allowed either. Bags of any kind are also not allowed inside the examination premises.

Precautionary Measures

The following precautionary measures shall be observed during the conduct of the CPA Licensure Exam:

• Wearing of face mask and face shield
• Sanitizing using alcohol and hand-based sanitizers whenever necessary
• Physical Distancing of one (1) meter at all times
• Those with fever and cold are not allowed to take the exam
• Observe proper hygiene at all times

Full List of Passers — October 2022 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam

The CPA licensure exams for May 2022 will be held at PRC testing facilities in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The Board of Accountancy administered by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice-Chairman, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes and its members, Gloria T. Baysa, Samuel B. Padilla, Arlyn Juanita S. Villanueva, Thelma S. Ciudadano and Gervacio I. Piatorz.

The following is a list of room assignments for the Certified Public Accountant licensure examinations in May 2022.

MANILA – REMOVALS/CONDITIONED

Manila – pwd, manila – added to the list, cagayan de oro, legazpi – added to the list, lucena – added to the list, rosales, pangasinan.

Examinees must arrive by 5:30 a.m. on the scheduled date, since latecomers will not be permitted.

What to bring on exam day?

Here are the things to bring during the examination proper:

• Notice of Admission
• Official Receipt
• One (1) window mailing envelope with metered stamp
• At least two (2) pencils (NO. 2)
• Ball pens (black ink only)
• One (1) piece long brown envelope
• One (1) piece long transparent/plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items)
• Forms of Health (Pursuant to Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)
• Negative RT-PCR Test Results, if applicable, or Certificate of Quarantine (Pursuant to Memorandum No. 68, series of 2020)

What NOT to bring on exam day?

• Coded information or formulas can be found in books, notes, review materials, and other printed sources.
• Only simple calculators are permitted. A basic calculator has simply the buttons for the fundamental functions (+, -, x, and /). Memory keys (M+, M-, MR, and MC) may also be used. Calculators that include TAX functions are also allowed.
• Apple, Samsung, and other smartwatches, cellular phones, earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, Bluetooth, and other electronic devices which may be used for communication purposes;
• Any type of bag

What to wear on exam day?

• For male examinees, a white polo shirt with collar (no seal, logo, or mark); decent pants or slacks

COVID-19 protocols during the exam day

During the PRC licensure exams, the following precautionary health and safety rules must be followed at all times:

• Wear a face mask and a face shield.
• Bring alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
• Face masks, face shields, and latex gloves must be provided to examination personnel.
• Observe physical distancing by maintaining a 1-meter distance from one another.
• Prior to entering the examination room, a thermal scanner will be used to monitor your body temperature.
• Exams are not permitted for those who have a fever, cold, or cough. Their payment is not lost and can be applied to the next licensure exam.
• Examinees should bring their lunch because they will not be allowed to leave the examination room during break or lunch.
• Before entering the examination room, after using the restroom, and before receiving test questionnaires, examinees must sanitize.

Now, tenants have an easier way to connect with their Housing Specialists. Need to tell SCCHA about changes to your household or see your rent amount? Need to request a reasonable accommodation? Re-examination Process for Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program in Santa Clara County, CA

Participants in SCCHA’s housing assistance programs must report changes in income within 15 business days of the change. This must be done in writing.

Increases in Income

• Use the Tenant Portal or submit your change of income (in writing) to your Housing Specialist, advising of the type of income that has increased.
• Provide verification of the income that has increased. This can include paystubs, offer of employment, revised child support documentation, or Social Security award letters.
• You will be notified (in writing) if more information is needed.
• You will be notified (in writing) if there are any changes to your rent portion including the effective date of the change.

Decreases in Income

• Submit your change of income (in writing) to your Housing Specialist, advising of the income that has decreased.
• Provide verification of the income that has decreased. This can include paystubs, notification of termination of employment, revised child support documentation, or Social Security award letters.
• You will be notified (in writing) if additional information is needed.

When you add or remove someone from your household, you must notify SCCHA within 15 business days of the change.

Adding Someone to Your Household

• Submit your request (in writing) or through the Tenant Portal to your Housing Specialist, letting them know who you would like to add.
• Provide documents for the person(s) you are requesting to add. These can include birth certificates, custody documents (for minors), Social Security cards and photo identification.
• You may be required to attend an office appointment.
• You will be notified (in writing) of the decision, as well as any changes to your voucher size or rent portion.

Allowing someone to move in without SCCHA permission may be grounds for termination from the program.

Removing Someone from Your Household

• Submit your request (in writing) or through the Tenant Portal to your Housing Specialist, advising who you would like to remove.
• Provide verification of a lease agreement, utility bill or death certificate for the person you are wishing to remove.
• You will be notified in writing as to any changes to your voucher size or rent portion.

The chart below details the Payment Standards, or how much the Santa Clara County Housing Authority can pay towards the contract rent of households receiving rental assistance:

Housing size subsidy standards determine the number of bedrooms needed for families of different sizes. SCCHA is legally required to give the family the smallest subsidy that they qualify for based on family size. The family unit size number is entered on the voucher issued to the family. The household is responsible for paying for any bedroom(s) above the allocated unit size.

SCCHA does not determine where family members may sleep, or who shares a bedroom or other room in the home.

• One (1) room for every two people
• Approved live-in aides qualify for one (1) additional room
• An additional room may also be provided as a reasonable accommodation of a disability

Sometimes households choose to live in units which have a different number of bedrooms from the number on the voucher. In those instances, there are also limits on how many people may live in a unit:

Change of Household Composition

Reasonable accommodation forms, move forms and flyers, family self sufficiency forms, other forms and documents, housing choice voucher administrative plan and participant policies.

Participants in all of SCCHA’s housing assistance programs have certain rights. If you believe your rights have been violated, please contact your Housing Specialist. These rights include:

• Living in a unit that is safe, decent and sanitary
• Protection from unlawful discrimination
• Holding the property owner liable for damage to the unit caused by landlord negligence
• Paying only the amount of rent approved by SCCHA
• Receiving proper move-out notice
• Protections under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). You must not be denied assistance, terminated from participation, or be evicted from your rental housing because you are or have been a victim of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking*

As a participant in any SCCHA housing assistance program, you must follow certain rules. Failure to follow these rules may lead to termination of rental assistance. Some of your responsibilities include:

• Providing required information for your regularly scheduled reexaminations, and any other relevant housing information
• Reporting changes to income or household composition within 15 business days
• Allowing SCCHA representatives to conduct regularly scheduled inspections
• Allowing only authorized people to reside in the unit – you cannot lease or sub-lease the unit
• Complying with the owner’s lease, including paying your portion of the rent
• Complying with the terms of your voucher and Tenancy Addendum
• Copying SCCHA on any notices from or to the property owner, including 3-day pay or quit, eviction, rent adjustments and notice to move/vacate

I submitted a request to my specialist, when can I expect them to contact me/call me back?

Please see the general response timelines below:

Response to call or email: Housing Specialists are working through their messages as quickly as possible and it may take up to 3 business days to respond to your inquiry. If your Housing Specialist is out of the office, another staff member will cover the answering of their calls and/or emails.

Response to income change request: processing times for income change requests is roughly 4-6 weeks. When your request is processed, SCCHA will send a letter to you and your landlord notifying all parties of the change. In many cases, the effective date of your new rent amount is the first day of the month after your Housing Specialist has received all supporting documentation.

Response to request for reasonable accommodation: The processing time for reasonable accommodation requests is roughly 4-6 weeks. Reasonable accommodations requests may be submitted to your Housing Specialist either verbally or in writing. After you share the request with SCCHA, the medical or other knowledgeable professional you listed in the request must respond to SCCHA's confirmation inquiry. SCCHA will mail you a letter with the decision.

What is my rent portion?

As a Housing Choice Voucher participant, you'll generally pay 30% of your income in rent. The easiest way to find your rent portion is by using the Tenant Portal, where you can always find your updated rent amount without having to contact your Housing Specialist.

I submitted a rent change request but am still waiting for SCCHA's decision on the adjusted rent. What do I pay in the meantime?

SCCHA recommends you advise your landlord of the anticipated change and pay as much as you can, if not all, of your last known rent portion. Please note that SCCHA will process the change to reflect around 30% of your household's updated income. Once SCCHA has notified you and the landlord of the change in your rent portion, you and your landlord can collaborate to figure out any reimbursements or credits to the following months' rent.

Board exams during the COVID-19 pandemic

The following precautionary health and safety guidelines shall be observed at all times during the conduct of the PRC licensure exams:

• Wearing of face mask and face shield. Examinees are also required to bring alcohol-based sanitizers.
• Examination personnel shall be provided with face mask, face shield and latex gloves.
• Observe physical distancing by maintaining 1-meter distance from one another.
• Body temperature will be checked using thermal scanner prior to entry at examination premises. Those with fever, colds or cough are not allowed to take the exams. Their payment will not be forfeited and can be used in the next licensure exam.
• Examinees are advised to bring their food as they will not be allowed to exit the examination room during break time and lunch time.

Resident Dining Plans, Room Change Requests & the Housing Contract

If you live on-campus, you will need to choose from one of the four available Resident Dining Plan options. 

Learn more about the various dining plans and how the Resident Dining Plans work at SCU. 

Dining plans can only be changed for the upcoming quarter - in other words, you can't change your dining plan in the midst of the current quarter. If you wish to change your dining plan for the coming quarter, please make sure to submit your request by the applicable deadline for that specific quarter. Learn the deadlines as well as more information about the process for submitting a request to change your Resident Dining Plan . 

During the beginning of each quarter, your can submit a request to change your room assignment. Learn more about the process for changing your room assignment during the room change request period .

Maintenance Requests, Lock Outs, Community Damage Policy & Postings

Learn how to submit an on-line maintenance request for a needed repair within your room.

The time of day and as well as day of the week will determine what you'll need to do if you're locked out of your room. Learn more!

Community Damage is damage done to public areas that would not be considered individual room damage. The public-area losses or damages that are preventable (such as broken windows, stolen furniture, damaged light fixtures, and elevator vandalism) but which are not assignable to individuals will be billed in equal amounts to the residents of the floor or building community, or as determined by building staff. It is the responsibility of all residents to be aware of their environment and to hold students who vandalize property accountable. Learn about Housing & Residence Life's Community Damage & Responsibility Policy . 

The Repair & Replacement Charges  are the minimum charges assessed for any damages that transpire both in community spaces as well as within individual student rooms. These charges  are applied to students' accounts so the University can recoup any losses incurred as a result of damage or excessive cleaning needs caused by students. 

Advertising events in the residence halls can assist student organizations as well as University departments in maximizing exposure by reaching students in the various communities.

You'll apply for an on-campus Parking Permit through your eCampus account. Learn more about parking permits and the application process  through Parking Services.

The Housing Office assigns specific mailbox numbers to all on campus students, except those living in Neighborhood Units, as mail is delivered directly to the physical address of the Neighborhood Unit. You can find your mailbox number within your Housing Application in eCampus. If you have difficulty finding your mailbox number, contact the Housing Office and we'll be happy to assist you!

Arts in Corrections: Reframing the Landscape of Justice

June 24 – 28, 2019

This national conference will provide professional development opportunities for artists who work in correctional institutions at all levels and best practices for arts administrators who would like to learn how to implement and manage these programs.

Participants in this conference will have opportunities to

• Share best practices in program development and curriculum design
• Learn about current research models, including evaluation and documentation
• Develop opportunities to collaborate with justice reform advocates in different states and nationally
• Participate in workshops showcasing exemplary programs for juveniles and adults, as well as restorative justice and re-entry models
• Learn how to build public awareness and enhance programmatic sustainability
• Continue to build the Justice Arts Coalition as a national support organization for artists who teach in correctional institutions and artists coming home
• Participate in art classes in various disciplines taught by master artists

* Monday, June 24th is reserved as a pre-conference training day for arts providers   and contractors teaching in the CA State Prison System

* Friday’s schedule features Future IDs Workshops at Alcatraz
