Essay on My House for Students and Children

500+ words essay on my house.

Essay on My House:  The world consists of all types of people. Some are fortunate enough to have amenities while some aren’t. Especially in a country like India, where the majority of the population lives below the poverty line . To own a house here is no less than a luxury, one which I thankfully have. I am blessed to be protected by four walls and a roof.

Essay on My house

It is my parent’s hard work that has given us this blessing. Many people in today’s world are always complaining about the things they don’t have. The person who has a house wants a bungalow. The one who owns a bungalow wants a palace. The one living in a palace wants an island. This never-ending cycle goes on. However, if we look at the people below us rather than those who are above us, we will be happier.

An Underrated Blessing

Having a house is an underrated blessing. If you have not realized it yet, you can go and ask any person who doesn’t have a house. Only then will you realize what a great blessing it is to have a house. Houses do not necessarily have to be luxuriously filled with the latest amenities. A house is complete if you have a roof over your head.

Moreover, if you have your loved ones around, then there can be no greater blessing. You must realize the importance of your house before it gets too late. Even I never knew how precious my house was up until one incident that changed my outlook.

We had house help growing up. The maid who used to work for us always came early in the morning and would leave in the evening. Even when my mother asked her to leave early as she completed the work on time, she never did that. On the other hand, she used to do extra work. Later we found out that she never really had a house. It was just a hut which had one chair and one folding. And that she liked spending time most of the time at our house because she had access to all basic facilities like electricity and clean water.

This incident made me realize how I took my house for granted. It is truly an underrated blessing which is overlooked by others. We must value our homes before it gets too late.

I live in my ancestral home with my grandparents, parents, and siblings. My grandfather built this house with his hard work. It has four rooms, one kitchen, two bathrooms, and a patio. My house is at least fifty years old.

I admire the beauty of my house. The vintage vibes make it even more beautiful. My grandparents have a small garden in the patio which adds greenery to my house. Moreover, it also has two trees. One is a pomegranate tree and the other is a Henna tree. They provide us with shade and sweet fruits.

My house has very high ceilings as it was made many years back. It has vintage switchboards which give it a very unique look. My house is situated in the middle of four roads. It is not joined to any other house. My house has four entrances from each side.

Whenever my friends come over to my house, they click a lot of pictures. Even my relatives love the interior of the house which is a mix of modern and vintage architecture. My house is colored in brown and beige color and it stands out in our locality.

Essay on “My Home” English Essay, Paragraph, Speech for Class 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 for College and Competitive Exams.

My house is made of brick and mortar. But my home is made of my parents and sister Together we have made the four-wall one roof structure, a heaven on earth. However, a partial credit of it goes to the discipline that my parents have instilled in both of us. All of us wake up at half-past five in the morning, I water the garden, my sister makes the beds, my father cleans his car and brings milk and my mother takes her bath, and then she goes into the kitchen. The whole day like-wise has been divided into periods of work and relaxation. We are particularly fond of our garden. My parents have gone to a great length to procure some rare variety of plants for it. My mother loves to read and cook. My father loves to make small decorative pieces out of simple things that are strewn around the house. It is not surprising therefore that my home is full of books, the aroma of cooked food, and decorative objects. My sister loves the sound of music. As far as I am concerned I am the lazy one of my family. I love watching people. This habit of mine has got me into trouble many times. But I still think that by observing people I do not commit the same mistakes that they do. My home is the only refuge in the whole world where I feel safe.

Any dwelling place man lives in can not be called a home. That can simply be called a house. A house has to be provided and enriched with some family affairs, warmth of family relationships and such-like things to make it a home. Considered from this point of view, the home I live in is a perfect home, a sweet home indeed.

Perhaps the reader will want to know why I call the house I live in a home and what things there are in it. To begin with, I must tell you that I have a relationship with my home as though it were a living being or rather a small self-sufficient system of man-man-material relationships.

My home gives me comfortable accommodation, shelter, security, love, and affection. I live with a family consisting of nine members. They are my parents, three brothers and one sister, my eldest brother's wife, and my grandmother.

The house is a big one. There is a separate room for each of us. The house is made of brick-a two-storeyed building. The entire house covers a land area of ten 'kadthas.'. That is why the rooms are fairly large, the drawing room being the largest of all. There is a slice of land in front of the house. We made this land into a beautiful flower-garden this year.

The existence of a little pond in the midst of the garden adds to the beauty of the entire home. There are no children in our home. But our beautiful youngest sister adorns the home and gives it a personality. It is said that a home without a beautiful girl or woman is not a home, indeed. I may gladly inform you that within a few months we will have a new member in our family. To speak straightly, a child is coming to our eldest brother and his wife.

We have a goodwill for being an educated family. My mother is very hospitable and loving. She loves all the friends of ours like her own children. As a result, our home is often crowded with our friends. But this does not hamper the peace of the family or the tranquility of the atmosphere.

Do you think that only what I have described so far make up a good or a sweet home? We do not think so. We can not think of our home without animals. We have three cats, two dogs, and some birds. The birds live in a big cage placed in the garden. Their cage is so made that they can roam about freely all through the garden. Our home is a living example of unbreakable love between man and animals.

Happiness really depends on the mental satisfaction of people, rather than on the exuberance of wealth or money. We are a well-off family, but not a very rich one. We spend what we earn. Yet we are happy and satisfied. We enjoy what we have and never become anxiously greedy for what we do not have. Our parents brought us up that way. I belive that this is one of the reasons for our being a happy family.

Every member of our home has full respect for others. These mutual understanding, sympathy, patience, a sense of belonging, and satisfaction have built up a solemn atmosphere of a sweet comfortable home.

Wherever I go away to perform my mundane duties, I always cherish in the mind the sweet hope of returning home. When I am away from my sweet home, I am homesick.

In the journey of language development, paragraph writing is a crucial milestone. For Class 6 students, learning to write coherent and impactful paragraphs sets the foundation for effective communication.

This article dives into the world of paragraph writing, focusing on Class 6 topics with answers. We will uncover the essentials, structure, and techniques required to compose impressive paragraphs that convey ideas with clarity.

Understanding the structure and approach to paragraph writing is the first step towards proficiency. Here, we’ll explore various topics and provide insightful answers to help students grasp the art of composition.

What is a Paragraph?

A paragraph is a collection of related sentences that express a single idea or theme. It serves as a building block for larger pieces of writing, such as essays or reports. A well-structured paragraph contains a topic sentence, supporting details, and a concluding sentence.

The Power of a Strong Topic Sentence

A topic sentence is the heart of a paragraph. It introduces the main idea and sets the tone for what follows. For instance, when writing about “My Favorite Hobby,” a strong topic sentence could be: “Gardening has become my most cherished pastime due to its therapeutic effects and the joy of watching plants flourish.”

Supporting Details: Adding Depth and Context

Supporting details provide depth to your paragraph by offering specific examples, facts, or anecdotes. If the topic sentence is about gardening, supporting details might include the types of plants you cultivate, the tools you use, and the satisfaction of seeing your garden thrive.

Transition Words: Creating Smooth Flow

Transition words and phrases, like “firstly,” “in addition,” and “finally,” help maintain the flow of your paragraph. They connect ideas and guide the reader through your thoughts seamlessly.

Concluding Sentence: Wrapping Up with Impact

A concluding sentence summarizes the main points and leaves a lasting impression. It should tie back to the topic sentence and provide a sense of closure. For instance, if the paragraph is about your favourite hobby, the concluding sentence might express your enthusiasm for spending time in the garden.

Essay On My House For Class 1, 2 & 3 Kids

Shaili Contractor

Key Points To Remember When Writing An Essay On My House For Lower Primary Classes

5 lines on my house, 10 lines on my house in english, a paragraph on my house for children, short essay on my house in english for kids, long essay on my house for kids, what will your 1st, 2nd or 3rd grader learn from this essay on my house.

Everybody has a strong connection to their house. The house’s structure, size, special features, elements of beautification and even the family members residing in the house make each home unique and special. Essay topics such as describing “My House” are frequently asked in class as part of writing exercises. Essay writing is an important skill that children need to develop from an early age. My House is a relatively easy topic as children can gather lots of thoughts and details about their house creatively. Let us guide your child to write an essay on My House for classes 1, 2 and 3 in a few single lines, a short paragraph, and a long paragraph.

Here are some tips for writing an essay on My House:

  • An essay on My House can involve different details about the house, such as its size, location, type, and architectural style.
  • When describing the house, you can talk about how the different features make you feel.
  • Make the features more appealing by giving the readers a feel of them.
  • Long essays should have introductory and concluding lines.
  • Talk about what you feel about your house, your favourite features, and why you think your house is the best.

Five-line essay for class 1 is the best way for your child to learn how to write. Here is an example of a five-line essay:

  • My house is my most favourite place in the world.
  • I live with my mother and father in my house.
  • My house has three floors and lots of stairs.
  • We have a garden outside our house with beautiful flowers.
  • I love staying in my house.

A longer essay for classes 1 & 2 sets the foundation for writing skills in children by gathering more ideas and including more details. Check out this example of a 10-line essay on My House:

  • My house is a beautiful three-storied building situated in the suburbs of the city.
  • It is located in a green and peaceful neighbourhood.
  • We have gardens in the front and back of the house.
  • When you step inside the house, you will enter a spacious living room.
  • Our house has five rooms. My sister and I each have a separate room.
  • My room has a balcony that faces the neighbouring park.
  • I spend time on my balcony every evening and enjoy watching the sunset with my grandpa.
  • We have a kitchen in the house that connects to the garden in the back.
  • We grow all types of herbs and vegetables in the kitchen garden.
  • My house is the best one in the whole world.

Short paragraph essays are a good place to learn how to write longer essays. Here is an example of a short essay on My House:

Every person needs a house to stay in. I live in a cozy house in the middle of the city with my parents and younger brother. Our house is just one street away from the playground where I go to play cricket. Our house has two bedrooms, one living room, and one kitchen. My brother and I share the same room in the house. Since my house is close to the main road, we find it easy to go from our house to any part of the city. We have a terrace in the house where my brother and I often play. I love my house because it is a great place to live.

Here is an example of a short essay on my house. These essays are the building blocks to learning how to write long essays:

My beautiful house is on the outskirts of the city. We have built our house on a big plot with lots of garden space and greenery to enjoy. My house has three bedrooms and a living room, along with a kitchen and a dining room. All of this is surrounded by a high compound wall on which we grow decorative creepers.

Our house is spacious and also well-lit since we have huge windows in all the living spaces. When we sit for our breakfast every day, we enjoy a wonderful view of the backyard with the lawn and flowers. Different materials such as bricks, cement, tiles, marbles, and wood were used to build the house.

My house is the best place in the world, and my friends love to come here and play with me. We have plenty of space to play all the games and don’t have to go out on the street.

A long descriptive essay about my house can be tricky to write because children need to write creatively after gathering several ideas. However, children can write a good essay by going about it systematically and maintaining the flow. Here is an example of an essay for class 3:

I live in a gorgeous house inside a colony in a small town next to the city. Our house was constructed recently, and we moved in a few months ago. It is a two-storied building with four rooms, a living room, kitchen, dining room, terrace, and a basement. We have plenty of space within the compound to build a garden. We have planted many different types of flowering plants and vegetables in our garden.

My room is on the first floor with a big balcony that has a panoramic view. It also enables me to set up my telescope and observe the night sky comfortably. We have a big kitchen with a door that opens to the garden in the back. My parents take their tea on the lawn every evening in the kitchen garden.

My favourite part of my house is our terrace. It is a vast open space on the roof of our house which is nicely decorated for spending leisure time. There is a large swing on the terrace, on which I love to spend my evenings reading my favourite books. Sometimes I also call my friends over, and we play catch on the terrace. At night, the open terrace is breathtaking to look at. I can see all the stars and the moon as well when the skies are clear. I like to lie down and count the stars during such clear nights.

Our house is located in a very friendly and nice locality. There is a small market near my house from where my father brings fruits and vegetables every morning. We also have very good neighbours. They are kind and generous people who are ready to help at any time. I love my new house and all its beautiful features. I enjoy spending time in my house more than anywhere else.

From these examples of compositions on My House, children can gather plenty of ideas on how to write an essay on their own. This essay is also a great opportunity for your children to express their thoughts and feelings about their home. It also helps them observe their house in better detail than ever before, as they write their observations in words.

Our house has a special place in our hearts. It is the place where we feel safe and secure. From the examples above, children can pick up ideas and craft their own compositions on the topic.

Essay on “My Home” Complete Essay for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and other classes.

Best 3 essay on ” my home”.

Essay No. 01

I live in a small house. It has two-bedrooms, one dining-cum-drawing room, one kitchen, and one pantry beside a bathroom and toilet.

My home is situated on Lawrence Road. It lies in the J.K colony. Previously, it was an ordinary locality, but now it has turned into a posh area.

My parents share one bed-room and I have the other bed-room. We have no separate study room. Thus, I have to study in my room or in the drawing-room. But, I think, my room is quite all right for my requirements, though it also contains a wardrobe in a part of it where the clothes .of all the three members of the family are put.

My house is made of brick, though marble houses are now quite common in this locality. It is an old one and needs frequent repairs. My father says that he will one day pull it down and build a new one in its place.

I, however, love my house and don’t want that it should ever be pulled down. I have, indeed, grown obsessed with it, so to say.

Although my house is made of brick it is well-plastered and has beautiful smooth floors and walls. The walls are whitewashed and the doors and windows are well-polished.

The house has a courtyard on either side. Behind our back court-yard, there is another house. On both sides also we have houses of neighbors. Thus, our house opens on one side only. On this side, we have a high boundary wall which keeps us almost shut off from whatever may be happening in the street outside.

Since we have no car and have a scooter only, we have no parking problem. We park the scooter in the outer verandah and thus it remains protected against sun and shower.

We are very happy with this house. Thus, I can say that happiness depends upon the attitude of a family and not on the size of the house or other possessions that they have.

Essay No. 02

The saying ‘East or West, home is the best’ is true in many ways. Home offers affection and security. My home to me is the best place in the world, where I live with my mother, father, a brother and a sister.

I belong to a middle-class family. My home is a cozy little flat on the 1st floor in Dwarka. Our drawing-cum-dining room is tastefully decorated. It has a TV set, a sofa, a refrigerator, and a dining table. The decoration pieces remind me of our visits to different pieces. There are two bedrooms.

One is used by my parents and the other is shared by the three of us. Not only the room but the study-table is also shared by us.

Ours is a small and happy family, where every member has consideration for the needs and comforts of each other. We all share household work, too. Our mornings are usually busy as all are in a great hurry to complete their work. But either it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner time, we all have it together. At that moment we share all that we had enjoyed or suffered during the day.

We always keep our home clean and tidy. Everything is kept in its proper place. I like my home, very much.

Essay No. 03

Home is the word that gives solace to each and every soul in this universe. It carries love and life for the people living away from their homes. It’s rightly said ‘east or west, home is the best’. Like every fortunate child, I have my loving parents and one brother. My mother is affection personified. My father is a caring as well as a disciplined man. I have tremendous regard for both of them. If ever my mother gets angry with me, I feel restless till I make my mother happy again. My father is a quiet person but at times when he has spare time, he plays with us and tells us many interesting stories. He has laid a very strong moral foundation of our character. And my brother is the cutest creature I’ve ever seen. He is so small but he is quite capable of expressing his concern for me. His giggles make me laugh even when I am in a serious mood. When I think of my home, I am filled with gratitude to God. May God bless them all.

Mom struggled to accept cafeteria job at her kids’ school. A 6-year-old’s note changed everything

For 16 years, Sarah Fiacco relished her job as a stay-at-home mom, never missing a recital or basketball game. Now she’s finding purpose as a lunch lady.

“Never did I imagine at 40 years old I’d be working in my kids' school cafeteria full-time,” Fiacco wrote on a luxury buy and sell Facebook page . “Honestly, I struggled accepting (the position) because it’s not necessarily a ‘dream job.’ I was even embarrassed to share here. But, I’m here to say in less than two weeks, I already have a deeper sense of satisfaction than I’ve ever had."

Olivia's note now hangs on Sarah Fiacco's bathroom mirror.

In her post, Fiacco included a photo of a handwritten card she received from a kindergarten student. It reads: “Thank you! For the lunch. From Olivia.”

“Sure, my feet are sore. My hands are dry and I’m dreaming about chicken nuggets but getting this note reminded me why I said, yes,” Fiacco wrote. “I hope this job can be so much more than just serving food. Maybe this post will encourage one of you to find joy in unexpected ways.”

Fiacco and her husband, Bryce Fiacco, a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force, relocated to Alabama from Virginia last year with their children, Kinsley, 16, Carter, 13, Kason, 10, and Kendall, 6.

Sarah Fiacco posed for a photo with Olivia, 6.

In Virginia, Fiacco used word-of-mouth marketing to build a successful home bakery business.

“It was very lucrative, and I loved it,” Fiacco tells TODAY.com . “Then the military moved us — and people here were just not as interested in what I baked.”

Fiacco was disappointed but not defeated.

“I was like, ‘OK. I just need to pivot,’” she says.

To earn extra income, Fiacco began substitute teaching at Prattville Christian Academy. When the school offered her a permanent position, she declined. It just didn’t feel like the right fit. Then they floated another opportunity as a food service associate.

“I never thought that this is where I’d be, but it’s fantastic,” Fiacco says. “This week I’m on the registers. Last week I did dishes. It’s very fast paced. And the best part is that I get to see my kids. They come to visit me.

“They’re proud of what I do,” she adds.

Fiacco says a perk of working in the school cafeteria is that her kids always know where to find her.

Fiacco says she was mid shift when Olivia approached her holding a piece of paper.

“She handed it to me through the window and was like, ‘I want you to have that,’ and I almost cried,” Fiacco says. “It’s not a glamorous job, but I’m making a difference.”

Fiacco hung Olivia’s note on her bathroom mirror as a daily reminder of exactly that.

In April, Fiacco shared on the same Facebook page that she was debating the cafeteria job and "looking for words of encouragement."

"Just here to say that my kids talk about ‘Chef Jen’ more than any other employee in their entire 6 years of elementary school. Those ladies make a MASSIVE difference!" one person wrote.

Added another, "The most beloved person in the high school where I teach is ‘lunch lady Barb,’ who knows kids personally by name and participates in all our pep assemblies! She recently retired and the senior students chose her as the person they wanted to read their names at graduation — so she did."

Family is who we are. The first teachers a child gets is their family. A kid learns and follows whatever their family teaches them. There are joint families and nuclear families. We are providing two sample essays for students of class 6 on the topic ‘My Family’ for backing.

A Short Essay On ‘My Family’ Of 100 Words

All families are essential, but not everyone is lucky to have a family. I am very lucky for getting a good family.

I live in a nuclear family with mom, dad, and my dog. When I was small, I had to go live with my grandparents when both of them were working together, but now I can live alone.

My family loves each other a lot. We have at least one meal of a day together as a tradition. Sometimes we also play Ludo or carom together. I like nuclear families better than joint families because then I get a little peace.

Engage your kid into diverse thoughts and motivate them to improve their English with our  Essay for Class 6  and avail the Simple Essays suitable for them.

A Long Essay On ‘My Family’ Of 150 Words

Family members are the first teachers. All children copy and learn the behaviour of their families. Some families are very big, which are called joint families, and some families are small, which are called nuclear families.

I live with my mother, father, and dog, which is a nuclear family. I feel nuclear families are better because I do not have to fight with anyone to watch television.

My dog is completely a part of my family. My family loves each other a lot. If everyone is busy, we try to eat one meal of the day together. During weekends we play carom or Ludo. We even watch movies together.

Sometimes we go to my grandparents’ house, but there are so many people there that I get very tired. I love staying with just my mum, dad, and dog.

My family has helped me be a good person. Yes, they scold me sometimes, but I know that they do that for my own good. I love them very much.
