My school is one of the most famous schools in town. The name of my school is ABC , located in XYZ city . It is a big school with a big playground. When we go to school by bus, we can see our building, even though it’s quite far. Our school is painted white. Every morning, we gather inside the auditorium, offer prayers, and sing hymns.

Our school uniform is white and blue. We wear tunics while the seniors wear skirts and tops. We also wear a badge with a motto. Every day, I try to become a very good human being and follow the motto. I try to be truthful and loving, and  I am ready to serve and help the poor, the needy, and animals with all my heart.

When our school bus pulls inside the school campus, there are beautiful flowers in the school garden on both sides. The garden has marigolds, jasmine, roses, and sunflowers that look very colourful and pretty. Rohan uncle takes care of the gardens in our school. We also have big classrooms with big windows, and through the windows, we love seeing the mountains far away. On a sunny day, we can see the snow-capped mountain top.

Our teachers are very loving, polite, and caring. We have a separate class for extracurricular activities like singing, dancing, and crafts. I enjoy those classes very much. We also have a games period. We go to the playground and play different games during the games period. We also play in the park, which is made for small children like us. I also have many good friends in school with whom I play and share my pencils and erasers. I also share my tiffin with them. We have a school canteen where we get yummy dumplings, dosas, idlis, sandwiches, chips, and so much more. Once a week, my mother gives me money to go and buy food from the canteen. I share the food I buy with my friends. I love my friends and my teachers.

Your child will learn to think about different aspects of the school they study in. Long Essay on My Favourite Season Essay of 150 Words

Summer is the hottest season, and almost every school closes down for a comparatively long break. I enjoy the long school holiday we get during summer because then we are rid of all exams and get a time for resting and engaging in our hobbies.

Summer is also the season when a lot of tasty fruits grow like mango, grapes, and pears, etc. I love eating ice-cream, and it is during summers that I can eat and drink a lot of icy treats.

Most families plan on travelling during the summer break. My friend has planned on going to their grandparent’s house this summer. My parents too, have planned to visit the mountainous regions for the summer of this year.

Summer evenings are longer, and around 4-5 PM kids go out to the grounds for playing games like cricket, football, hide and seek, etc. Some kids also try to catch wild Beatles and butterflies. I cannot wait for the summer season to come.

Short New Year Essay 2

The first idea that comes to our mind when hearing the term ‘new year’ is ‘new year resolution’. It is an aim that people decide to achieve or maintain in the coming year. And with the hectic life that they lead, this resolution takes a backseat. However, the new year signifies the concept of renewal or starting over. As the great saying goes, it is never too late to start again. And as people welcome the new year, what better way of reviving a resolution that was long overdue? Let’s strive to achieve those long lost dreams and aspirations while ushering in a new chapter of life!

My New Year Essay 3

Why do we celebrate the new year? There is a simple answer to this question – it marks the beginning of something new. People across the world decide to change themselves, to act more responsible, to achieve their aspirations and much more. In all honesty, it sounds like a good omen to begin anew with a new year. While students aim to work harder and score better in their exams, adults focus on spending more time with their families, getting rid of harmful habits, etc. So, a new year acts as an auspicious occasion to turn over a new leaf!

About New Year Essay 4

The world is welcoming a whole new year of opportunities, ambitions and adventures. And with this new year, comes a range of resolutions and promises. While some decide on spending more time with family, others decide on travelling the world more. However, this year let’s tweak the practice of promise by giving back to our beloved mother – planet Earth. Let’s promise to live a more sustainable life by making changes in our daily lifestyle, habits, diet and behaviour. Let us strive to protect the earth which protected us for centuries. This new year, why not live a sustainable life?

New Year Essay 5

Every year, the last day is celebrated by partying with friends, having late-night dinner outside, inviting people home and dancing till a new year begins. However, this year, the situation is slightly different, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. But there is nothing to be sad about. You can still celebrate your new year with your via video call. You can still dance and party till the wee hours, safely at home. You can still have that cliche countdown, but with your close family instead of a huge crowd. If anything the pandemic has taught, it is to adapt according to the prevailing circumstances. It is time to adapt while welcoming a whole new year of dreams and opportunities!

New Year Essay 6

Why is January 01 considered to be the beginning of every new year? It is because of Caesar who made this day as the beginning of a year to partially commemorate Janus – the Roman god of beginnings (inspiration behind the month’s name). The Romans celebrated and commemorated Janus’ birthday by presenting sacrifices, exchanging gifts, decorating their homes and throwing full-fledged events. Although one doesn’t find anybody sacrificing on January 01, people do celebrate this day with great pomp and excitement. So, even while celebrating the new year, we are inspired by the past!

New Year Short Essay 7

New year is an exciting event celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement across the globe. However, this tradition dates back 4000 years ago in the ancient city of Babylon. Around 2,000 BC, the Babylonians used to celebrate the new year for a 11-day period called Akitu. On each day, a different rite and ritual used to be performed to commemorate the new year. It also represented the act of welcoming a new monarch or permitting the previous monarch to rule. In simple terms, while the new year celebrations have evolved, they are definitely an ancient practice!

New Year English Essay 8

The new year celebrations begin on December 31 (new year’s eve) in several countries and continue till the early hours of January 01. To celebrate this occasion, people tend to eat snacks and meals which would bring them good fortune. Fireworks, dance performances and singing sessions are other ways of celebrating the new year. People also tend to make new year resolutions but this practice is more common across the western hemisphere. A new year resolution is like a pledge which a person makes to end an undesirable habit or set a personal and achievable aim. Indeed, people consider the new year to be auspicious occasion to turn over a new leaf!

My school essay for class 3.

‘My School’ is one of the most commonly asked essay topics by teachers of Class 3 CBSE. The English teacher often gives this topic to make the students aware of the people, things, and places within the school. It makes the students alert and even helps them to realize the relationship they keep at the foremost prestigious education center of their lives.

Moreover, the topic cultivates the students’ creative writing skills and gives them a chance to express their opinion about the teachers and school environment. It also ensures that the students become aware of the names of the teacher and the subjects they teach.

As a result, students start identifying or recognizing their tutors, even outside school, and never forget to pay their respects. Although the topic is simple for most class three students, they still need to create meaningful and correlated sentences to express their thoughts. A few tips can help your child achieve this goal and get good grades.

Tips to Write a Great ‘My School Essay for Class 3’ Students :-

Identifying the essay’s word limit is a great method of finishing the ‘My School’ essay on time, reviewing it completely, correcting the errors, and rechecking other answers to get good grades. The intro paragraph in this blog before the subheadline is 162 words.

So, you get the idea that more than half of the intro would cover 100 words, and reducing a line would cover 150 words. Teaching kids to identify the word limit is possible on pen and paper by judging sentence differences, i.e., the number of extra sentences in a 150-word essay versus a 100-word essay.

Sometimes the teacher might even ask students to write ten lines about the school. So, class three students need to choose the things they need to mention the most. It could include prayer, games, classes, teachers, the principal, friends, team names, best period, sightseeing, picnics, food, and canteen/cafeteria.

Tone of Voice

Most class three students would mention details about the school that they notice. However, it should not seem like a statement related to the previous and the upcoming sentence.

For example, ‘My school’s name is ___. It is situated in __, a beautiful place known for its ___. I arrive at school by taking a bus from a stop near my home and have to get up early to reach on time to take the bus. It takes one hour from the bus stop to reach my class, and I get to meet my friend, Ravi, Ranjan, and Niranjan, in my class.’

In this above example, the student mentions details about the school’s location, the location’s importance, the mode of transportation, daily activities before boarding the bus, and more. The student also expresses a happy tone of voice after meeting his friends compared to the rest of the routine.

Focus on a Class, Subject, and Activity

Class 3 students can write a great ‘My School’ essay by focusing on their favorite class, subject, teacher, and activities. Students often forget to mention the morning prayer, a vital activity of the day; mentioning it can make them realize it is important.

Moreover, most class three students have a favorite class, like crafts, acting, or games. They can mention the place to attend it and the reasons for liking it. Parents and teachers like to know more about students’ strengths to guide them actively.

Some students might even love the scenic route where the school is situated and could mention the view of the mountains across the school building or the bus. They can share about the window with the best view from their class.

‘ My School Essay for Class 3′ Teaches a Lot of Things:-

A class three student would learn to appreciate the things and people around the school after writing a few lines. Besides this, the student would improve sentence formation and develop an ability to define important aspects of the educational center.

The correlation between sentences would also help enhance the child’s cognitive ability. Moreover, the student would pay attention to things that often get ignored and could become even more humble.

BGSU new student enrollment continues to increase, up 22% over the last two years

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – For the second consecutive year, Bowling Green State University is setting enrollment records as it welcomes one of its largest and the highest-achieving freshman classes in University history, with new student enrollment up 12% as compared to fall 2023 and up 22% compared to fall 2022.

This fall, the class of 2028 is comprised of nearly 3,900 students from across Ohio and more than 30 states, with first-year, out-of-state enrollment up 21%. Enrollment is also up across Ohio, with first-year enrollment of students from northwest Ohio up 19%. First-year enrollment of international students has doubled, compared to fall 2023.

As the highest academically achieving class in BGSU history, the freshman cohort has a 3.69 grade point average and an average ACT score of 25.1.

“As a public university for the public good, we are committed to ensuring a Bowling Green education is accessible and a great value,” BGSU President Rodney K. Rogers said. “We are excited to welcome so many new students to our learning community, defying national and even statewide enrollment trends. Bowling Green is big enough to provide all the opportunities of a comprehensive, research university, but small enough to where our each of our students can actually take advantage of it. Our levels of enrollment are a great size for us in providing that exceptional experience, which has long made Bowling Green so special.”

Enrollment also is up 5% overall this fall at BGSU Firelands , the University’s regional campus located in Huron, Ohio.

For the second consecutive year, the University is also seeing historic student success and retention rates, underscoring The Wall Street Journal’s ranking of BGSU as the No. 1 university in Ohio for the student experience.

“We know engagement is a key driver of student success,” said Dr. Glenn Davis, interim provost and senior vice president and vice president for student engagement and success at BGSU. “We will remain focused on ensuring students get involved on our campuses, from joining student clubs and organizations, to leading undergraduate research alongside our faculty, to participating in internships and co-ops and attending athletics and arts events.”

In-demand academic programs Much of the University’s momentum in its enrollment gains is being driven by in-demand academic programs focused on meeting Ohio’s workforce needs, especially in STEM and healthcare.

Academic programs seeing record enrollment include aviation and nursing, both up 34% in new students. Business is up 21%, with additional growth in programs such as education, exercise science, medical laboratory science, the arts and more. The Honors College has enrolled 375 new, high-achieving students.

Other sought-after programs like architecture, forensic science, and resort and attraction management also are drawing students from outside Ohio to Bowling Green.

The BGSU Life Design program continues to drive enrollment, especially for students who are undecided in their major upon starting their academic journey. The program empowers students to shape their college and career journey through design thinking principles. Offered to all undergraduate students, Life Design at BGSU is the only program of its kind in country being offered on a large scale.

“We are excited to continue our momentum and welcome another large and academically successful freshman class to our learning community,” said Cecilia Castellano, vice president for enrollment management. “The University’s continued investment in high-demand programs is driving enrollment, empowering students for career success and addressing critical workforce needs. We are thankful for the continued trust in the value of a BGSU education from students and their families.”

“Bowling Green has leaned in on the student experience, intentionally empowering our students to take advantage of all we have to offer from day one,” President Rogers added. “This kind of momentum takes all of us being all in, and we are grateful for our students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and supporters who continue to support our learning community.”

For the fourth consecutive year, BGSU has been ranked as the No. 1 public university in the Midwest students say would choose again.

The University is seeing continued and increased enrollment in new, first-time students from nearby states like Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Pennsylvania. The University offers in-state tuition to students from Monroe and Lenawee counties in Michigan and multiple counties in northeast Indiana.

Additionally, the BGSU Class of 2028 consists of students from U.S. states spanning from Hawaii to Delaware and countries such as Nepal, India and Canada.

For Fall 2024, BGSU is garnering particular interest from new students in its reimagined offerings in robotics engineering , electronic and computer engineering and mechanical and manufacturing engineering . Housed in the BGSU School of Engineering , the ABET-accredited programs leverage the University's longstanding excellence in applied engineering education while deepening its commitment to supporting science, technology, engineering, mathematics and healthcare careers.

Differentiating the student experience Keeping education accessible, BGSU provides more than 90% of all new students with comprehensive scholarship and financial aid options, including the University Freshman Academic Scholarship, which ranges from $1,000 to $9,500 and is renewable for four years with no essays, recommendation letters or interviews required.

This spring, the University announced Robert Thompson ’55, ’06 (Hon.) and Ellen (Bowen) Thompson ’54, ’06 (Hon.), would give, in total, $121 million to student scholarships at BGSU. The University is now home to one of the largest nonendowed scholarship programs of its kind in the nation, the Thompson Working Families Scholarship program , which covers much of the cost of a student's tuition while still requiring a financial investment in earning their degree.

BGSU has also invested in constructing and updating multiple academic, housing and extracurricular spaces throughout the years.

As part of the recently completed, 10-year Master Plan 1.0, BGSU ushered in new and reimagined spaces including Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Center , Kokosing Hall , Social House at The Oaks , Centennial residence hall and the Student Recreation Center .

The University is currently transforming the Technology Building to include collaborative classrooms and adaptable space for cutting-edge robotics and engineering equipment as part of Campus Master Plan 2024. The building's construction plans include the demolition of its southern facade, an expanded footprint to the south and an east wing renovation with completion set for Spring 2026.

As part of the student experience, BGSU also is committed to fostering the academic, social and personal growth of the class of 2028, driving public good on campus and in communities around the globe.

Keeping the class of 2028 connected and engaged, BGSU offers a wide range of year-round events and activities designed to create a vibrant campus culture. The University is home to more than 300 student organizations spanning 16 categories, including club sports, health and well-being, community engagement and more. BGSU competes in NCAA Division I athletics and is part of the Mid-American Conference.
